Very simple game. It's not fundamentally terrible, but there are some bad decisions. The slowdown every time you shoot is downright excruciating as your attack speed goes up and ought be optional. The mouse controls are nightmarish and I definitely recommend anyone who plays this pick up a controller. Just because I cleared with a mouse on the first try doesn't mean I'd happily inflict this upon anyone else. The screenshake at high attack speeds combined with the flash on your character model when you shoot makes the game near totally incoherent to look at, and the small pickup range means the entire screen is covered with white shot with white trails hitting white flashing enemies with the floor covered in white dots. The screenshake can even shunt your character almost entirely offscreen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVA71f_GE5U There are, as of this review, no ways to adjust any of this via settings. I do not take damage from the green triangles, but I do from the black circles. I normally would've taken this to feedback, however I saw there was a glowing review on the steam page which received the product for free and didn't note the caveats of this skeleton of what could be a quite fun game. For now, however, a grudging not recommended, because this game wouldn't take that much to be at least enjoyable.
This game is an absolute blast! Utilizing the upgrades and stacking them takes gameplay to a whole new level of excitement. It's refreshing that the game doesn't coddle players with hand-holding tutorials, instead throwing them straight into the deep end. While there are some areas that could use tweaking, overall, the experience is incredibly enjoyable. Highly recommended for gamers looking for a challenge!
