When I first read this game would be about "throwing cows" I was like "What? The devs must have been drunk", but when I saw an actual ingame video and a few screenshots, I got interested. Despite puzzle-platformer definitely not being my favorite games this game attracted me by the fact that you could see the love the devs put into it - and the super-cute cows. ;) So I bought it to test if my intuition has been correct, and it actually has. The game is simply awesome (says a guy who mainly plays "old" FPS classics like Wolfenstein 3D, The Ultimate Doom, etc) in every single aspect: The graphics are designed meticulously detailed building up the "right" atmosphere fitting to the fairy-tale (literally) like story (which is quite fun, but still has its deep moments), the ambient music intensifies the immersion still more. The two main characters (three, if you include the queen of cows ;) ) are just lovable and absolutely unique among all the many games I played in my life. Regarding the actual gameplay: As I mentioned, the game can be described as "puzzle-platformer", whereby the focus of the game is on the various different puzzle elements the it offers. These start pretty easy, but will soon require more and more logical thinking about how to use the environment and the possible interactions between the two main protagonists to achieve your goal, which eventually is - throwing cows, in a quite satisfying way. And with this, the circle has been closed. I definitely recommend this game to everyone interested in puzzle-platformers or simply well-made games which require rather brain power than good reflexes - and to all people loving cows, of course. ;)

このゲーム作った人は天才か？と思うくらい頭を悩ませました。最初は簡単にパズルをこなしていきますがラストになるとタイミングが少しでもずれるとアウト！みたいな感じで難しかったです　これ絶対に無理やろーとブツブツいいながらも最後までやれたんで達成感がすごかったです。ちなみに英語が分からなくてもストーリーよりパズルだらけなので簡単な操作を覚えるだけで楽しめます！

To put it short and sweet, Hyss is a puzzle platformer that has very unique world building elements. It's very light hearted and silly. Like any good puzzle game, you learn mechanics then apply them in increasing challenges that progress in a reasonable fasion. While exploring there are hidden items for achievements to collect. Overall my time with the game was pleasant and I think you should definitely look into Hyss a bit more if you like family friendly silly puzzles that will take a little bit of thinking. Not only have I watched this game grow ASTRONOMICALLY over the last couple months, but with each demo release, it just keeps getting better and better. *Disclaimer* I have only played the first couple puzzles, but so far the game is original, based on Swedish Folklore (which makes you feel like you're learning), and extremely charming with adorable and memorable cows, funny characters, and delightful gameplay and mechanics. So on to the real reason, you are reading this: Pros: -World's Most Adorable Cows -Mind Challenging Puzzles for "almost" All Ages -Smooth Controls and Runs Great on PC -Constant Changes in Scenery and Puzzles -Great Developers and Staff This game is charming all around! Even the bugs that were found can be fun and entertaining. (Try loving and riding on a cow!) Cons: None thus far but I will update until I finish the game! Before I end this review I want to give you all another great reason to purchase this game. I have been communicating back and forth with the staff and they all seem extremely kind and talented. If you are on the fence about purchasing, just know that this game is not a money grab but a well thought out and designed game by a bunch of people who truly love what they do, and more importantly than that, they CARE about your experience in the game and I believe they will try their best to make sure that everyone has a SUPURB experience. Hyss is a third person adventure puzzle platformer. A cow accidentally sat on a fairy and killed it so the cows were banished from the lands. As a friend of the cows you embark on a journey to find and free the cows so they can return to their happy home. In the game you have two main characters you can swap between plus a cow you can literally kick around when it's needed. Using these characters you journey through an almost open world puzzle/platform environment looking for the cows by solving the puzzles to open the gates and remove the obstacles. There are also collectables to be found so exploring can be fun and rewarding. It's a great game. The graphics and environments are fantastic. They have created a really nice fantasy world to explore. I finished 3 of the six stages in my 48 minute video without finding all the collectables. However "The last two levels are way larger and more complex which makes the game three to four hours long in total." For better or worse I was also able to jump around one of the puzzles using some fancy platform finding. That's not that unusual though and speed run players often look for this sort of thing. Performing the puzzle, once figured out, is arguably faster though so it's not in my video. Grab it if you can. All in all it's a great game and well worth playing.
