Lead one of five factions, each with unique ships and mechanics.
Build up your empire and assemble your fleet. Precious resources must be allocated carefully to succeed.
Combat plays fast using an auto-battle feature. Control the weapons of your carrier flagship as the frenetic battle plays out. Adapt your strategy as the conflicts escalate.
Multiple paths to victory. Will you dominate the galaxy through economy and trade, military might, or technological achievement? Or perhaps you will just try and outlast your enemies. You decide.
Random events can throw a wrench in your plans. Some will bring benefits, while others will pose mounting challenges to your people.
Trade routes can bring untold riches, but are constantly threatened by pirate raiders. How much are you willing to gamble on your trade fleet?
Recruit Heroes to further boost your empire.
Never the same game twice. With multiple factions, ways to win, random events, a variety of enemies and difficulty levels Hyper Empire is a unique play experience every time.

Overall Impression: C -. It is more of a board game than a full interactive experience. Balance among the factions is a bit wonky, and the economy aspect of the game seems to favor certain play styles and factions. The random events are truly random and can either boost you to victory or end your run pretty fast.
Just getting started. Making a lot of the wrong decisions but having a ton of fun doing so! The interface is visually engaging and runs smoothly. Before I picked this up I was worried that it would not be for a relaxed gamer, but its a great introduction to this universe. I might pick up the bundle once I start blasting more ships.
Hyper Empire is a strategy game focused on letting you get all the joy that comes from building an empire in a 4X game without taking hours—the advertisement is that you can finish a game in forty minutes, and it lives up to that promise; I've actually found that for myself it's more like twenty minutes or so. So what do you do in Hyper Empire? You always find yourself encroaching on someone else's territory. You'll need to fend off their attacks constantly, balancing building up your productive base with building up your fleet. If you survive for fifty turns you'll win an Endurance victory, but you can also win by accumulating cash, conquering sectors, using diplomats to avoid enough battles, or buffing up your science and religion. As you win the games more different ways on different difficulties your starting position becomes stronger and stronger. It's a very enjoyable experience of building up, and definitely a game you should check out!
I know it is a good 4X game when I keep thinking about wanting to play it again and try new strategies
I am enjoying this foray into a sort of micro-4X. Needs a tad more polish (tooltips adding to certain features, one in particular is utterly ambiguous as to what you're spending your hard earned on), but overall I like the idea and it's perfect for killing an hour here and there.
Quick to get started and quick to play. Even when you lose, you advance your tech tree. Pick it up for your next addiction!
Great game for 4x space board game fans!
Very good quick fix strategy game with lots of depth.
Played 3 games so far. Only took me 1 to get the hang of it. Pretty fun, so far. Higher difficulties next. If you want a condensed turn based strategy, this scratches the itch.
Great gamge , but devs please add "Endless Mode" in without any time limit. Games like this need to be grinded and age like fine wine or a cigar.
