In a communist dystopia built on loyalty and fear, every box you pack feeds a dying system. A dark psychological simulation about the cost of staying useful, where routine replaces thought, silence feels safe, and obedience is the only way to survive.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About

HWTC is a mix of psychological horror and work simulation set in the fictional post-Soviet state, the Republic of Calvania. You’ll be exploring difficult themes that are part of our everyday lives - routine, negligence, and mental health - all while listening to the encouraging, Council-approved radio station.
Few things are said directly, but many are left for your interpretation. The warehouse, the notes, and the radio tell a story - but you’re the one who puts it together.
Getting most of the achievements and story elements will take around 2–3 hours, but the game doesn’t end there - you can complete as many shifts as you like.

Your working shifts are the core of the game - you check, pack, and send orders. Hard work and attention to detail are rewarded; carelessness, on the other hand, is noticed and punished.
Each day is an eight-hour night shift with no limit on the number of orders you can pack. Every shift, the conveyor configuration changes, making your tasks easier or harder.
Your time and space management will be thoroughly tested - you’ll need shelves to organize your work, an eye for detail to spot signs of electric fuses nearing their limits, and careful planning to stay sane throughout the process.

Work is demanding, tiring, and you’ve already suffered enough. The closer you get to a mental breakdown, the more unfriendly things become - whispers, flickering lights, silent conveyor belts. But don’t worry - the game isn’t about jump scares; it’s about a dense, dark atmosphere.
And if you’re careful, take your time while packing orders, relax in the armchair, or take your pills, you’ll be just fine. You might not even notice that something’s off.

The game is about all of us. We work more and more, often forgetting to take proper care of ourselves. We sleep less, eat worse, and stress more - all to survive, pay our mortgages, and put food on the table.
I wanted to take all of that and exaggerate it, but while creating the game, I couldn’t escape the feeling that Happy Worker Tool Company, though meant as satire, still mirrors the reality we live in far too closely.
I’d like to dedicate it to everyone who feels they work too hard.

I will definietly play more of this game, it's really satisfying and (to me) challenging without excess. It's put together very nicely and I can see that the creator worked hard on the details and making the atmosphere cunning. Graphically it's simple and low poly and it reminds me much of other indie games that were popular some time ago, I like this style :)

The game's atmosphere is fantastic, I would not describe this as a jump scare horror, its more like psychological horror. The theming is wonderful and the music really makes you want to just sit on the couch and disappoint the council. The game's difficulty, even in normal, felt fast enough for me. The first order already sets you into the frame of mind that it's going to be a hard (but rewarding) day of labor.
If you like 1st person horror and intriguing story I would definitely give this one a try. It is a challenging play when getting into it at first but your skills will increase each shift. I definitely found myself getting uneasy (to put it lightly) often. The scares felt earned as well. I was quite impressed at the quality of this game(especially for the price). The developer clearly cared a lot about the story and lore behind the experience. I found myself chuckling at the humor of the communist propaganda and situation you find yourself in. Update: I ran an issue I had with the tutorial by the dev and the dev added a whole new system overnight to take care of it. Thanks dev Piotr!
it's boring. you just put tools in boxes the entire time. there's basically no horror stuff going on, except when your sanity meter goes low enough and the light go out, you see shadow guys. pretty lame
I don't want to sound too harsh about this game, but it just wasn't fun. I understand that the sanity meter is there for a reason, but even on the easy level, the meter drops too quickly in my opinion. Even with the lights on, the area is way too dark. Then the lights started to go out and I could not find the fuse box to put the fuses in. The game just seemed to get too complicated too quickly.
Esta entretenido
this game was horrifing but also in a good way its just like your doing a job with struggles. you have to fix the electricty and take pills which makes the game very unnerving but i really liked although it scared wasnt horrible though if your just smart with your decisions
