House of 1000 Doors: Serpent Flame

Enjoyed this one! neat story line, great gameplay, neat puzzles! Of course, buy on sale, but I recommend this one! Woot!

A pretty cool game even though the voices and the cutscenes are sometimes a bit weird. But The game itself is really good.The puzzles are moderatly easy and HOS are pretty cool. The story is pretty well made, even though i wasnt really a fan of the last chapter with all the spacey theme. All in one another great part of the series. I can highly recommend it

As a more mature age player. Age withheld to save my blushes. I am constantly impressed with the skills of the young people who create these games, and the patience it must take. Thank you from a grateful oldie.

A good HOG for newer players. As finding objects and the puzzles are not overly difficult. A quick navigation map is always a plus.

This third entry remains in line with the previous games, although I do feel that the puzzles have been made just a bit easier. The story this time around is, in my opinion, especially engaging and I truly enjoyed following the characters that I have come to know. I have nothing particularly negative to say, though some of the hidden object scenes have some items that are hidden in especially dark places, but I suppose this could be fixed via screen brighting.

Very, very good game for the genre. It follows the usual format. Has a better story than most. Good mini puzzles (nothing super clever - they never are, but they aren't the same ones you see all the time). It has an interactive map. It has "beyond objects". It has a bonus game. One thing about the bonus game is there is a LOT of running back and forth. I don't mind that too much, but some may not like it. But the interactive map makes that easy.

My first PnC without Achievements and Collections, tho they felt missing from the experience, there were a lot of other qualities to like. If you are an Achievement hunter, this game isnt for you. Maybe its because of the lack, that the game felt longer, it may feel a little empty with no chimes, pop-ups and seeing that badge progress, among our gamer buds. As someone who often forgets where things are, and is constantly going back and forth, I found this format intuitive and had very little problems with the puzzles or location - so Pro PnCs may find it too easy? The story premise is fab - it's pretty much the reason (tho I have bought them already) im off to install the next Episode - tho Im all about fantasy sci-fi. My only criticism, is perhaps Ive been spoilt, with more cut scenes, in my very few years of gamer journey. As for the HOGs, they have a cool variation, which I found refreshing. Bonus chapter was a good lenth, and cleverly written, leaves me wondering what's in store next.

All the games in this series are very good, great HO scenes and interesting storylines.
