Fun simple anomaly game. Plays really well on the Steam Deck but massively drains the battery. Just be prepared to stay plugged in to play this one!

Managed to beat the game with 44 anomolies found. This is a phenominal horror liminal feeling anomoly game, with a large ammount of great anomolies relatable to the movie the shining, and very fun to play with sweet graphics :D

Good anomaly game. Really like the graphics! I had a hard time finding the last 5 anomalies, but I still managed. There's still a way to trick the game and go outside the wall if you're persistent. :)

THis is a game of the category "find the anomalies!". I just finished playing Exit 8 so this game just came right in time to continue. The game plays in one hotel corridor with a receptionist, some rooms, a waiting area and two elevators - that's it. Sounds easy? No it isn't. There are 51 anomalies to find in 7 floors. It tooks some time to get to the 8th floor (and beyond to finish the game). You don't have to find all anomalies to finish the game but it is quite some fun to find them all. You can continue to play after finishing the game the first time. If you have found an anomalie it's taken out of the game. The anomalies ranges from "easy to see" to "hard to spot". Sometimes I wasn't sure if the "normal" floor 0 looks like the actual one or is it an anomalie I just see right at the moment. It's fun to play, though it is a short game. The graphics are ok and the game studio did a good job inventing all those anomalies. If you like "Exit 8" you won't regret playing this game.

Since Exit 8 the 'anomaly loop' games have been getting churned out faster than a raging panther on crack, but Hotel Overloop is a damn fine experience all on its own. The anomalies can be hard to detect and the second guessing may give you a hernia. Especially loved the tip of the hat and the sly wink to The Overlook Hotel from The Shining. The goal is to make it all the way up to floor 8 and on my first run...I nearly made it through perfectly. But the devious Hotel clerk didn't tell me something was amiss. Damn his eyes. Great set-up, great atmosphere and great price for a game I'm sure you'll come back again and again. You may check-out anytime you like, but you'll never leave The Hotel Overloop. Gem of an indie horror, looking forward to more from this developer. Gameplay Impressions: This is one of the better lookin' anomaly loop games out there. I quite liked the atmosphere. The hotel setting has been used before but hasn't looked this good. Our goal is to make it to floor 8. I was about 2 floors away from the exit..oop. Didn't run into any bugs but did manage to glitch through a wall accidentally ha. The anomalies used were solid. Check out the video below for gameplay.
