Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 26 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Hotel: A Resort Simulator is an ambitious management title that sets out to capture the fantasy of owning and operating a full-scale holiday resort, placing the player in direct control of both creative design and daily operations. Developed by Ringzero Game Studio and published by Bigben Interactive, the game presents itself as a hands-on simulation where success depends on how well you can balance construction, guest satisfaction, staffing, and logistics. From the beginning, it makes clear that it wants players to be deeply involved in every aspect of resort life rather than acting as a distant overseer clicking through abstract menus. The core experience revolves around building a resort from the ground up in a scenic island setting. Players are responsible for placing rooms, reception areas, restaurants, leisure facilities, and service buildings, often down to very fine detail. Furniture placement, room layouts, and facility positioning all play a role in how efficiently guests move through the resort and how satisfied they are with their stay. This level of control can be appealing to players who enjoy meticulous customization, as it allows the resort to gradually take shape according to a personal vision rather than a predefined template. Beyond construction, the simulation leans heavily into operational management. Guests arrive by boat, check in, request services, and react to how well their needs are met. Staff must be hired, assigned, and supervised, with different roles covering cleaning, reception, food service, and transportation. Early on, much of this work falls directly on the player, creating a very hands-on experience where you may find yourself performing basic tasks manually. The intention is to make the player feel involved in every layer of the business, but this approach also defines the game’s pacing and tone. Where the experience becomes divisive is in how this micromanagement is implemented. Many actions require repetitive input, such as placing individual items, restocking rooms, or handling guest-related chores one by one. While this level of detail can feel immersive at first, over time it can begin to feel like busywork rather than strategic decision-making. The transition from doing everything yourself to delegating effectively is slow, and until that balance is reached, progress can feel sluggish and labor-intensive rather than rewarding. The interface and controls further influence this feeling. Menus and building tools are functional but often lack the smoothness and clarity expected from modern management simulators. Navigating options, rotating objects, or organizing staff can take more effort than necessary, interrupting the flow of play. These friction points are especially noticeable in the early hours, when players are still learning systems and laying the foundation of their resort. For some, this learning curve adds depth; for others, it becomes a barrier to enjoyment. Visually, the game presents a pleasant but restrained aesthetic. The tropical environment and resort interiors are serviceable and fit the theme well, offering a relaxed backdrop that contrasts with the demanding workload of management. However, the presentation rarely elevates the experience beyond functional clarity. Sound design is similarly understated, with limited ambient audio and music, which can make long sessions feel quiet and somewhat sterile despite the lively setting the game aims to portray. Despite its shortcomings, there is a certain appeal in the game’s scope and intention. Players who enjoy slow, methodical simulations and do not mind investing time into mastering systems may find satisfaction in gradually transforming an empty plot into a bustling vacation destination. Watching guests use facilities you designed and seeing income grow as operations stabilize can be rewarding, especially once staffing systems are running smoothly and the player can step back into a more managerial role. Overall, Hotel: A Resort Simulator is a title defined by ambition and uneven execution. It offers a deep level of control and a strong premise that will resonate with players who enjoy detailed sandbox management, but it is held back by clunky interfaces, slow pacing, and an overreliance on manual tasks. For those willing to tolerate its rough edges and invest patience into its systems, it can provide a uniquely hands-on resort management experience. For others, the lack of polish and strategic streamlining may overshadow the satisfaction of building the perfect holiday getaway. Rating: 3/10

I like this game, but I would really like some QoL changes. I would like to not have to start over every time I open the catalogue, it's annoying and becomes repetitive. I would like guests to tell me why they queued and not just respond to something I clearly didn't ask. I would like to be able to take out a loan and not just view the balances of the guests and what I've spent. Managing money is too easy, I would like too see it better implemented in the future. What is the point of scenarios if the work you put into it just disappears? This game has potential, but it needs more work to be completed. As the state of the game is now, I would not recommend it to players as it will get frustrating. Don't get me started on the controls. Sometimes they don't even work, you have to select another tool, and then go back to the tool you wanted! NPC also slide around, especially when their checking in. They start signing in, and then in the middle of it decide their done and slide while signing in to go to their room. Get this game off instant gaming if you really want it. It's not completely unplayable as I have about 8 hours in the game. I haven't tried free play mode though so maybe that will be better. Scenarios are pointless, just a glorified tutorial to learn the game mechanics, something seasoned players can just figure out on their own. Anyway, I'm done ranting, I hope the QoL changes can be implemented soon.
Yes, this is janky as hell, but! But! This is a game that lets you experience a few moments of joy and laughter, right before it glitches you out into oblivion because you wanted to clean a guest's room after they entered. Is this perfect? No, but you look into the mirror and ask yourself, is there truly a 10 out of 10 gaming experience out there in the world? No, every game has their issues, but this game has something those AAA games with billions of dollars for a budget don't have: NPCs that will greet you saying, "Good to see you" indefinitely on loop. Top that GTA VI!
