This is *insanely* addictive and actually significantly more challenging than I expected - totally love it! Looks simple but definitely requires some skill and strategy (level 7 very tricky) so reckon its a game all the family can play. In our house, we were fighting over it (ages 8-44)! Definitely recommend.
Astonishing, impeccable, and extraordinarily superb. A title for the new era of gaming. One that holds a beautifully crafted story within its files, with captivating graphics and engaging game play for generations to come. This is truly the best game of the year, so much so that I would give up my own progeny if it meant that I were to be able to get even one glance at this masterpiece called Hot Dodge! I must give my greatest thanks to the composer of this triumph, you have single handedly made this world a better place. My greatest gratitude towards you

got me through my divorce
A funny survival game that has some challenge. Hot Dodge! has some potential, but a few things hold it back: 1) No sound/visual indicator for your shield. 2) Lousy hit boxes. You can die without physically touching the broccoli. 3) No alternate controls. Most people are used to WASD movement these days, and not having the option feels bad. If these three complaints were fixed, I would consider playing it again. --- Update on 3 February, 2021. --- Shortly after posting my initial "Not Recommended" review, the dev replied saying they took my suggestions. I re-purchased the game and gave it another shot, and it feels a lot smoother to play. The moving obstacle hit boxes are much cleaner, and the WASD controls help immensely. The visual indicator for shielding is also a great add on. I was able to beat all 20 levels of the game in less than half an hour. The levels were not super difficult, but do take a little practice. I can see younger players having difficulty with some of the levels, but it's not unfair. Another review mentioned this is a fun game to play with the family, which I can see being true. When purchasing, just don't expect a ton of replay value. I don't see most people getting more than an hour of play time. But for a $0.99 game, you can't expect a lot. As an aside, Hot Dodge! reminds me of old-school flash games back in the day. So if you enjoyed those, you may like the nostalgia of this. Overall, I would recommend Hot Dodge! in its current state. It could use some polish, which I will give some additional suggestions in a discussion post, but it is a quick and enjoyable game.
This is MADDENINGLY ADDICTIVE! Looks like it should be simple, but it's been judged perfectly: it's far from easy, but then all too easy to just try one more time. And then one more time! And then ONE MORE TIME! A fun concept, but it's the playability that makes it worth every cent. Definitely recommended.
Hot Dodge is all about learning through trial and error. It looks simple on the surface, you're a hot dog trying to dodge broccoli, but get a couple levels in and you realize this game is really all about strategic planning. Each level throws you into the action and you only have a few seconds (or less!) to make your move. You will fail. You will fail a lot. But nothing beats that feeling of pure bliss once you figure out how to beat each level. Hot Dodge requires pinpoint precision, perfect timing, and quick reflexes to survive. If this sounds like your type of game, give it a download and check it out!
gifted this to a lesbian goth girl, she gifted it back. I now own a fortune 500 company and am friends with jay z as well ask kanye west. This game is pretty good.
Great game really enjoyed very addictive. Good job. The only I’d say to improve would be to be able to use WASD to move
I downloaded this game for a few minutes of light entertainment, but ultimately expected it to be just another forgettable arcade game. Boy was I wrong... Hot Dodge! is a deceptively deep puzzle game that layers several engaging mechanics to create an experience of skill, experimentation and memory that will stick in my memory for some time to come! The difficulty ramps up in a way that failure happens often, but you always feel you can do better on your next attempt. The first boss level was particularly unexpected and challenging but I found myself punching the air when I finally beat it. Very satisfying! My only suggestion to further improve the experience for beginners would be having more precision on the hit-boxes, but after playing for a while, you soon learn where they are and it stops being a big issue. Will definitely be recommending this to my friends! I can't wait to see what HFire will be creating next!
I’m a hotdog in real life and this is the best life simulator I have ever played I have to go people are currently throwing broccoli at me
