HoloType: Treasure Zombie Island

Decently-executed typing game. The zombie character designs are cute. The selection of quotes is a bit narrow, but the ones they’ve selected are pretty great and include a surprising variety of eras. I appreciate the inclusion of alumni members. Some might say the scoring is a little harsh for non-native Japanese speakers, as even the EN members’ quotes are majority Japanese. I might say that that’s just an incentive to get good.

Game is kinda mediocre, though I respect the dedication and the effort. Models are incredibly adorable, however. Did not know I needed zombie holoEN but here we are :0 Despite thinking its mid at best, I've made the unfortunate decision (for my sanity and possibly my fingers) to 100% this game. Will I want to end my life during and after this? Yes, absolutely. But am I a quitter? Another unfortunate thing for me, no I'm not (I've 100%'d a majority of the Holo games I have purchased, this is far beyond dedication at this point). Being a diehard Hololive fan apparently means suffering in my book :/

Came for the typing, stayed for the moe moe kyuun<3 Think it would be more fun if we were using catchprhases and things they said in their native languages also instead of just Japanese. Some of the phrases are like, "Go ahead and take the heart, I can't type that fast."

ゾンビとは言うが、顔だけしかないので噛まれる怖さや向かってくる怖さも無い。ホロメンの名言は nunn nunn nunn のような、同じ文字を何度も打つような繰り返しの文章が多いようで、あまり一般的な語句のタイピング練習にはなっていない。タイプミスの採点が厳しめなので萎える要素になっている。多くの英語がローマ字に強制変換されているのに、船長のAhoyだけahoyなのが気になる。最初からキャラクターが多くて〇。好きなホロメンを最初から攻略できて〇。お宝マウンテンが苦手だった人で、タイピングなら得意という人にオススメ。

Holo Zombies...Nice.

Typing games always have a way of being involved with other genres, especially zombies. Then the developer thought lets just add anime girls to that and things will work out. So far, it holds out not too bad. You use your typing skills to help a horny pirate/sister cure treasures (so we're still referring them as treasures huh?) that have been zombified by an even hornier zombie for some reason (you know, the usual). There are a lot of quotes to go around between all of them and the voice gallery is a nice touch to see when they said all the weird things they said on stream. You can also dump them in a room and play around with all the treasures. While its not too bad, the English side has it a bit rougher dealing with this game compared to Japan. Its good, but there are problems that just annoy me sometimes. The main issue is that despite the English and Indonesia members being included, the majority of their voice lines are Japanese, which is slightly bothersome as English fans can tell you they have some good and memorable lines in their native tongue. And that leads to problem two: having to type in Japanese, specifically the double n's and having to press "-" way more than you think. Also the score ranking means absolutely nothing in practice. If there's any silver lining, its learning how to type in Japanese. In the end, its something decent, but there are a couple of things that just hold it back from being better.
