Highly addictive game and this game does not deserve to be free to play.

GOSH this game has absolutely no right being as incredibly good as it is especially since it is free. I downloaded it expecting a simple, fun little distraction, and suddenly my eyes were glued to the screen for hours trying to get one more run, one more upgrade, and one more high score. Even if you know absolutely nothing about VTubers or Hololive, you need to play this. It takes the Vampire Survivors horde-survival formula, polishes it to absolute perfection, and packs it with so much content that it puts massive paid games to shame. The core gameplay loop is dangerously satisfying. You start off weak, swatting away a few enemies, and within twenty minutes, you are a god melting thousands of enemies at once. The absolute best part of a run is figuring out the "Collabs." Combining max-level weapons into massive, screen-clearing super-attacks is unbelievably satisfying. Trying to find the perfect broken build for your favorite character never gets old. The music goes incredibly hard. The fast-paced, high-energy tracks perfectly match the sheer chaos happening on your screen and keep your adrenaline pumping the entire run. There are dozens of characters, and none of them feel like simple reskins. They all have unique skills and special moves that completely change how you approach the game. Usually, games with character unlocks rely on annoying microtransactions, but HoloCure does not ask for a single penny. You use the coins you earn in-game to pull for new characters. It triggers all the fun parts of a gacha system with literally zero of the real-world guilt or wallet drain. If you need a break from the endless hordes, there is an entire life-simulator mode baked in where you can fish, farm, decorate your house, and hire workers. It adds a completely different, chill layer to the grind. Every run gives you coins to permanently upgrade your stats, meaning even if you lose, you are always making progress and coming back stronger.
Verdict
It is an absolute masterpiece of the genre, packed with charm, intense gameplay, and deeply rewarding progression. The fact that the developer made a game this high-quality and just gave it away for free is mind-blowing. Download it right now you have literally nothing to lose except all of your free time! 10/10.
VERY GOOD
is good
Has more content than a lot of bullet heaven rogue-lite games AND is free, this is one hell of a passion project.
for a free to play game, it has a lot of content, characters and quite a bit of replayability to grind achievements. if you like the genre it's a must play.
