Hollow Mind: The Lost Puppy

It's really cute, and it was fun! I finished the whole game. It's extremely unfortunate one can't use the achievements however. They are so so pretty! I hope in the future, they will be usable.

A decent 2.5D platformer. Simple and straightforward but terrible control by the way!

The trailer shows that this game has controller support over the fact I wasn't even able to use controller cause the game didn't respond to it, so I used keyboard and mouse and It was ok. After getting into the game I was presented with 4 levels which were pretty ok but the rest I don't even know If They are in the game cause I wasn't able to scroll to them. What's also disappointing is that after many years I had this game in my library I found out the game was free. Yeah the game costed money to even play. I also found out that the game is assetflip cause the dog I saw in this game can be seen in different games which are also assetflips. Overall pretty good looking but awfully constructed assetflip.

"Hollow Mind: The Lost Puppy" is a rather mediocre 2D retro pixel platformer with graphics only slightly better than pixel "art" (low poly "art" instead) and, well, not much reason for anyone to want to play it. Platforming is an old, dead genre and this derivative "me too" entry doesn't bring anything new or innovative to the table. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this don't understand that. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
