I found this game enjoyable with story/mystery, art style, and the Indigenous culture
An amazing and important cyber-noir detective game trailblazing new ground in the genre and in gaming as a whole. Important because of the way it incorporates indigenous culture, sensibility and reality seamlessly into a post-colonial sci-fi future, from the incorporation of native language into neon signs to the way the protagonist is part of an 'urban neighborhood family' rather than the atomized, utterly alienated individual common to Western versions of the noir genre. As a fellow indigenous gamedev, I've been watching and waiting for this game for years and was not let down! The characters are memorable, gameplay is simple enough to understand, and the Sin City-esque desaturated world with flashes of color are stunning. Achimostawinan Games has hit it out of the park and into the Post-Colonial future, truly.
Interesting Indigenous futuristic story lines made by actual Indigenous peoples. I like the language integration into the dialogue and the Indigenous humour and cadence. It's a nice game if you like story driven games. New game with a few bugs but have already released patches. Like most newly released games.
Long time Steam user, first time reviewer. I think I am in within my first hour and I really like where this is going. A bit scared to make an accusation on the first case because what if I'm wrong?? It makes me want to come back and play some more. I want to know more of the story and the dialogue is great. I like the noir dectective style that is mixed in with the Cree culture and colors. If I must be honest, the input and UI is wonky at times (ie., character moves in opposite direction if button is down and the scene changes; the esc button should close the phone if its open), but its nothing that breaks the game. 9/10 so far.
Adorei!
A great Indigenous indie game that folks should play.
