Neat little game, fun and educational. Didn't take long to complete, was mostly easy although there were a few items which seemed impossible to find without using a hint. Each level takes you through a battle that actually happened during the civil war. I recommend if you're looking for a short but fun hidden object game!
"Hidden Mysteries: Civil War" is a short little hidden object game. While I do overall give a thumbs up for this game, I do feel some of the historical things should be tweaked. (But in my opinion our very own history books need A LOT more tweaking than this game.) I found the puzzles challenging, but not frustrating by any means. Visually the pictures are pleasing to interact with, as well. I played it more for the puzzles than the history that went with it. (I went in aware that I would probably not be getting any sort of a history lesson...The game would have had to go WAY more in depth to add to my knowledge, let alone my boyfriend's extensive knowledge. lol) If you like hidden object puzzles, then I recommend picking up this quick little game to pass the time.
What started as a strange mix of history and fictional elements became a Mandela Effect detour into an alternate timeline. And I am not sure if the narrative was supposed to truly represent the alternate history within the investigator's timeline, or illustrate the dangers of trying to assemble an understanding of history by finding random pieces of trash, bugs, and household sundries while trespassing at small Civil War museums. As much as teachers may warn you not to learn history from Wikipedia, there is a much worse source certainly. There is also a strange morality/immorality narrative being uncovered during the investigation which culminates in an act of happenstance plunder that should raise an eyebrow. So, if you are considering buying this because you think it will give you faithful history and true stories of people from the Civil War – do not buy. If you would like to mildly challenge your grip on reality and ability to find hidden objects, $5 seems a reasonable post-COVID-inflation price to pay. However, you are probably only going to get 2-3 hours of playtime start to finish, so take that into account too.
Was OK. Couldn't click the seal. Saved Lincoln. Would recommend to a weird uncle. Maybe.
If you play games in windowed mode, don't expect to be very good with this one. There's no way to change the window size or resolution in the game and some of the items you're looking for can be so small you barely see them. In windowed mode, there are a couple that you literally can't see as more than a smudge or dot. This is the only hidden object game I've ever seen that ran slowly and has framerate problems for me. Framerate issues in a hidden object game are just ridiculous.
hidden objects are so tiny they were impossible to find....couldn't adjust graphics for large screen monitor.
Tags: Adventure - WC - Hidden Object Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Firmly underpar. Technically speaking the game works and it hides objects that you have to find. But that is about all you can say about it. Objects are very pixelated, there are no resolution options. A lot of ways the objects were hidden felt like downright cheating at times. The objects are not thematic to the game's story. Almost impossible to get through without abusing the hint system. Recharging hints involve playing perfect games of minesweeper. The fluff historical drama text was not terribly engaging. When you clear a hidden object minigame, it simply respawns with different objectives, allowing you to gradually progress the storyline by acquiring a collectible each time, until I presume you run out of story. Menus felt sluggish. The game was not immersive at all with its JPEGED everything and lame audio experience
This little gem is great, yes it's old I would buy on sell but if You enjoy history it's a nice relaxing game. It is not the easiest to see all objects sometimes but I have not had to use any hints so far
Different every time it is p;ayed
I don't know what this game is, I don't remember it and I don't enjoy find the object games. Yet I have 44 hours on it.
