Novel transport game with some clever ideas that could really use your support for further development!
Nice little game ! No real objectives. Just make tracks. Link resources to what wants them. And that's all !
Awesome, this game is fun!
This game has the makings of something interesting and fun, but it seems like it was released long before it was finished. You can build trains, you can see graphs of goods being transported, but it's all pointless. There's no real economy to speak of, no money or cost, no goals. The most challenging thing you can do seems to be to get Moon Crystals to the university, and then you do that and nothing happens except that a number in the university info increases. Nothing else. No purpose. Also, lots of things are just blatantly incomplete. The interface shows debug information, if trains get stuck you can't delete them, the music is a low quality MIDI loop, etc etc. This is a promising prototype for what could become a great game. Except that it was left at that stage and never completed.
I'm recommending this game because I think it has a lot of promise and I would like to see it developed further. However it won't be developed further unless it has more sales. If it only gets negative reviews then it won't sell. Potential buyers should be aware that this game should be regarded as being in Early Access even though it's not marked as such. It looks to me like Transport Tycoon crossed with Super Mario Galaxy, and I'm still hopeful that it could become that!
I could copy the review of "Vega McPunchy" because my opinion is 95% the same as his review. I got the key from the developper for free and I wanted to leave a positive review even more than him because it was the first key i got from a developper. Sadly it didn't come to it. Let's talk about the first time i started the game: Choosed Tutorial, started to do what it said but at some point i wanted to try the arrow thing but it wasn't working so i pressed "ESC" and i was back on the main menu. Well, no big deal, press Tutorial again and i had to start over. I did know what i had to do so i quickly put the tracks down that the tutorial told me last time but the tutorial got stuck on the first point. Well let's start a normal game, i got the idea but no mine in sight same as the tutorial. Search and search and i finally see what are the stations i need to connect. Because tracks didn't want to connect like i wanted, i pressed quickly "ESC" 2 times and i was out of the game completely. Here a little list of problems that need to be worked on: - I really not understand why placing tracks need to have shift pressed. What is the main goal of this game?? Place tracks so please make that the main action in your game has a mouse click only and not need to keep another key pressed most of the time. Apart that, if you have such big distances to place tracks, i should not need to place tracks each hexagon at the time. - When zooming in, the sphere is always moving down what make impossible to get a good "top down" view to place tracks when 3 station are just next to each other - Better overview of the world (maybe a minimap) - Make stations stand out more from the world - Protection for accidentally exiting the game - For a game that base itself on "economy", there is sadly to little economy on it. Maybe implement game modes: "free for all" (same as the game is now) and a "Realistic" mode where tracks and trains cost something (expanded economics). - The prize is to high. - More shortcuts to each type of station - Train list and a "delete train" option For the rest, Graphics / music are cute, the idea is nice. Good game for a light hearted time with trains.
I expected a little more from this. While the setting is nice and watching the trains can be delight, I struggle to call it a game given the lack of objectives and constraints. Trains and track cost nothing, so you can just plaster them everywhere. At the same time, establishing connections does actually not yield any benefit.
