Really disappointed with this game, majority of the assets were from pre-existing games, the collision and general POV was disproportionate. There was such a good story concept; but having a bugged ending where I was trapped in an invisible prison while I stared at the car I was supposed to "Run to" was lacklustre. Could really incorporate more directions and refining.
Heritage is a gripping horror game that hooked me from the start. Its intense atmosphere keeps you on edge, never knowing what lies around the next corner. Exploring eerie corridors, solving intricate puzzles, and uncovering a tragic family story make for an unforgettable experience. The graphics and sound design masterfully heighten the tension, from distant whispers to creaking floors. Every detail draws you deeper into the haunting world. If you’re looking for a chilling, story-driven horror game, Heritage is a must-play!
The lighting and atmosphere were impressive. The story is very good. I liked it.
I finally found a game based on story and logic. It's pretty good for its price. It's a game with atmosphere and suspense.

Heritage, developed and published by Karayolu Games, is a compact psychological horror experience that focuses on atmosphere and environmental storytelling rather than overt scares or complex mechanics. It places players inside a deteriorating mansion shaped by tragedy, using its confined setting as both a narrative device and a source of tension. Rather than relying on constant threats or fast-paced encounters, the game builds unease gradually, encouraging players to absorb its environment and piece together its story at their own pace. The narrative unfolds through exploration, with players uncovering fragments of a family’s past scattered throughout the house. Notes, journals, and subtle environmental details provide clues about what happened, but the game avoids presenting a clear or linear explanation. This approach reinforces the psychological tone, allowing players to interpret events rather than simply observe them. However, this same ambiguity can make the story feel incomplete at times, as certain threads are introduced but not fully developed. The experience feels more like glimpsing pieces of a larger story than fully understanding it. Gameplay is built around movement through the environment and solving simple puzzles that gate progression. These puzzles are generally straightforward, requiring observation and basic interaction rather than complex reasoning. This keeps the pacing steady and accessible, ensuring that players are not held back by overly difficult challenges. At the same time, the lack of depth in puzzle design means that the gameplay rarely evolves, and the sense of accomplishment remains modest. The focus is clearly on maintaining immersion rather than testing the player’s problem-solving abilities. The mansion itself is the centerpiece of the experience. Its design emphasizes narrow spaces, dim lighting, and a sense of decay that permeates every room. The use of light and shadow is particularly effective, often limiting visibility and forcing players to rely on a narrow field of vision. This creates a constant feeling of vulnerability, even in the absence of immediate danger. The storm outside adds to this tension, with distant thunder and flashes of lightning reinforcing the sense of isolation and unpredictability. Sound design plays a significant role in sustaining the atmosphere. Subtle environmental noises—creaking floors, distant echoes, and moments of near silence—contribute to a persistent sense of unease. The game avoids overusing jump scares, instead relying on anticipation and uncertainty to keep players on edge. This restrained approach to horror helps maintain a consistent tone, though it may feel understated for those expecting more intense or frequent scares. Visually, the game adopts a modest 3D style that prioritizes mood over detail. While the environments are cohesive and effective in conveying the game’s tone, they lack the variety and refinement seen in more polished titles. Some areas can feel repetitive, and the overall presentation, while functional, does not stand out in a crowded genre. The simplicity works in service of the atmosphere but also highlights the game’s limited scope. One of the most noticeable limitations is the game’s brevity. The experience is relatively short, and while it introduces interesting ideas, it does not fully explore them. The gameplay remains consistent throughout, with little variation or escalation, which can make the journey feel somewhat linear. Once the player becomes familiar with its structure, there are few surprises left to sustain engagement. Despite these shortcomings, Heritage succeeds in delivering a focused and immersive horror experience. It understands its strengths and leans into them, creating a space where tension is built through environment and implication rather than direct confrontation. The game may not offer deep mechanics or a fully realized narrative, but it provides a cohesive experience that is effective within its scope. In the end, Heritage is best appreciated as a short, atmosphere-driven journey that prioritizes mood over complexity. It offers a steady and engaging experience for players who enjoy slow-burning psychological horror, even if it does not push the genre forward in significant ways. Rating: 6/10
Better than most of the classic horror games. Interesting Story with smart puzzles. -Will edit my review after complete the game.-
"A Terrifying Horror Experience!" This game is a masterclass in horror! The atmosphere is intense, with dark environments and chilling sound effects that keep you on edge. The story is mysterious and engaging, drawing you in while delivering real scares. The gameplay is tense, and the visuals are stunning, making every moment nerve-wracking. If you're a fan of horror, this is a must-play. Just be prepared—it'll truly frighten you!
Could have been much better if all the assets were not ripped straight from 'What Remains of Edith Finch'
