First of all I managed to get in the game and play around with it I did have a disconnect after 20 ish mins though for no reason that I can tell. So that's a semi positive. The game is bit bland and lacking in a sense of immersion. The cut scene was abit laughable and not really indicitve of the gameplay or the game. It's not bad by any means but even for free I wouldn't waste your time. I mean they are trying to charge you for the privilidge of a double jump... :/ The music is horrendous and doesn't match with the game at all it's a 2 minute track on loop... Some of the screenshots look quite pretty and I presume it's all end game stuff but as they say not so much about the destination but the journey. I'll give it one big stick out of a forest. Watched the first cutscence and then it shows me the controls but my character is just a head and i can't move so i close the game and try to rejoin but it says i was banned for some reason.... gr8 game

This game isnt a bad game. Once I started I was like, who would ever play this. I see a lot of people that leave bad comments on this game but they seem to never play this game for more than 30 minutes. Once you start playing you can level up and get more gear and fight other players. It is a very fun game once you get into it more, but it can be very boring once you start off. I am level 58 right now in the game and I have a long way to go. I do suggest this game if you have time. My advice to you is once you start playing the game and you decide to get a pet don't get a penguin xD its a horrible pet. Other than that I do highly reccomend this game if you like 2d games and I feel like they should make this game a third person game, it would be much more fun. Thanks for reading.
I feel like I'm one of the few people that had the patience to play this game for more than an hour. A vast majority of the negative reviews for this game are usually people who have either had their accounts banned or just people stating that the game was boring and repetitive. While these are valid criticisms, they aren't exactly full reviews. However, I’ll be doing just that: I’ll review 220+ hours worth of gameplay, give my honest opinion on the game, and a little bit of information surrounding it. When I first played this game, I chose the warrior out of the 4 classes. The 4 classes consist of a warrior, archer, mage and cowboy, which all have varying attributes. I started off killing low-level blobs and received some gold and items from the mobs. There is also a level system where if you gain a certain amount of EXP from mobs, you’d level up, and gain 3 stat points which you can spend on power, defense, HP, MP and dexterity. MP is essential in order to use special abilities, but you’ll need a large amount of it in order to use them frequently. Dexterity is also really critical for damage, because every time you put a stat point into this skill, your chance of dealing a critical attack is increased by a small amount (a third of a percent). Once I earned enough gold and stat points, I decided to buy items to lessen the time. The first few hours were just that: killing mobs to earn gold/level up and spending said gold and stat points to kill more powerful mobs to earn even more gold/level up faster and so on for hours on end. You can also earn skill points within the game. Every time you level up, you’ll get 1 skill point, and in return, you can spend these on new abilities. These abilities can cause you to greatly improve as a player. They are divided into 5 separate categories, those being the general abilities and the 4 individual classes. Each class has their own abilities, and some are somewhat reliable in the grand scheme of this game. Firstly, we have the general skills, which consist of jump height, critical damage, rage (a boost in damage), MP regain (which is one of the important skills because you can use your special abilities more often without having to meet a healer every time you drain your MP). We also have the speed dash skill. This is something you’ll need in order to travel through areas much more fluidly. There are also a massive amount of skills for every class; you can look at the wiki or just go through the skill tab in the game to see and learn about every skill for yourself. You can enter new locations with far superior mobs to earn more gold and items, but after a certain point, there’s a glaring issue. Once you reach near the 50th level, you start to reach what I call the cinderblock point. This is where you can barely progress because your stat point and EXP ratio fly off the charts. This forces you to retreat to low-level enemies because the stat/skill points you gain aren’t enough to deal with high-level enemies, which ends up significantly lowering your EXP gain. However, there’s a solution that the developer implemented into the game (one terrible, scummy, and utterly criminal implementation) to solve this problem which is in-game currency you’ll need to purchase. The in-game currency you’ll have to pay for with real currency are tickets. These can be used to purchase in-game items like a teleporter, a double jump ability and a drop rate decrease, but most importantly, gold. I need to state that the developer’s bargain for tickets to coins can be considered illegal nowadays so no one actually pays for that. Luckily for the dev, this game is an MMORPG, and you can trade with in-game players (literal infants), usually high-level accounts since they possess the most gold and items. You can hoard hundreds of millions of coins in this game by trading hundreds to thousands of tickets which can cost anywhere between 10-200 dollars. Once you accumulate an amount of gold that you’re satisfied with, you can use said gold to buy extremely powerful items. However, your current level is far too low for you to even equip the gear that you purchased. Alternative strategies would be to first buy the teleporter, teleport to the bookshop located in the middle of the map, then go and buy stat books (books which earn you a stat point when purchased) for 55 grand gold each and skill books (which cost 210,000 coins each). You can purchase thousands of these books to stack your main attributes. By following this guide, you’ll be able to buff your account to relatively high levels, which will allow you to farm higher level mobs to earn even MORE gold. So, you went from killing defenseless blobs to hairy monsters, robots, massive slime cubes, brick amalgamations, four-legged aliens, beholders, mythical beasts, massive sea creatures, dragons, and a “kraken”. This may seem absolutely magnificent. You feel monumental as if nothing could stop you no matter how brutal the mobs become. It’s entertaining; you are shredding through monsters how Matt Stonie eats pasta, and you are utterly thrilled. You spend hours every day steam-rolling through the most powerful mobs and have an orgasm mid-session from all this, but then you notice something really unpleasant, like a fire in a forest. Now, once you become overpowered, you enjoy the experience because you can simulate being one of the best and most powerful players outside of the real world, but after a few weeks, you start to become tired of the game. You then notice its pattern: you kill enemies, earn gold, level up, gain stat points, use said money and stat points, buy tickets, trade them with in-game players, receive millions of coins, buy books, use them for stat/skill points, and repeat that process for potential years. Yeah sure, it may feel badass to kill hundreds of massive mobs within minutes, but it starts to become insufferably repetitive after a while. It’s like eating the same meal over and over again - you start to feel the staleness of the food, and want to move on. This game has the same feeling as this analogy. Sure, you can alternate classes to experience a new way of playing the game, but you’re required to pay around $10 to switch classes, and another $10 to craft the armor and weapons to even play as your current class. There are also 2 classes that are so blatantly overpowered that it makes the other 2 feel completely pointless, and those are the cowboy and mage. With all of their abilities and attacks, these 2 and pretty much dominate the game’s overall peak player base. This is ultimately a massive dopamine rush at the start, but a huge disappointment at the end since once you become powerful enough to the point where you can kill every enemy with a single press of a key and have spent thousands of dollars in the process. Because of this, you feel cheated: you feel like someone has robbed your time and money, and you can’t make any of that up because you might get hacked by some high-school coder or you’ll get banned by an unfortunate glitch. So, what is my conclusion? Well mine is to never install this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, money-churning game because you’ll ultimately waste your time by doing so.
I spent 106hrs playing this game ( You don't believe me? well here's a proof my main steam acc., my 5th steam acc. and 2nd HH acc.), so I think its 'bout time to give this game an honest review.
Helmet Heroes
Developed & by: Helmet Games Published =================================================================
TL;DR
Fun and addicting This game has potential. If only the dev. will set a goal to make this game a lot more better than it is now. This is still a must try game, although you have to extend your patience.
You should NEVER play this game if you're SHORT TEMPERED person, Unless the developer fix the DC's issue.

6/10
=================================================================
ABOUT
I think this game was first released in 2013 (correct me if im wrong) so basically its 3yrs old. I watched some old Helmet Heroes videos (from youtube), So in my opinion the game hasn't change or improved that much since it's first release ( Well im not that sure since I just started playing this game like almost a month now) So what made me say that this game hasn't improved or change at all even though this game is 3yrs old now? Well, The same 'ol same 'ol problem is still lurking; Cheaters; Dupers, Money exploiters and some other exploits, Random Bans; Some people get banned for no particular reason ( I experienced this problem more than once, after a day or hours of waiting I am able to play the game again. The good thing is that the dev of the game replies and help you regarding of your problem/issue. The bad thing is that it takes time for the dev to reply/ help you with your issue/s) Room Connect Error (Caused by overpopulation in a certain map/area) Login failed (waiting time is approx. 5-20mins then you can try logging in again) Constant Disconnections ( Triggered by constantly changing maps or going to an overpopulated (players) area sometimes your char. falls from a bottomless pit) Scammers (Of course theres always a scammer in almost every game, but at least the dev. should've taken this matter seriously and not taking it lightly) Lags Bugs Gltiches So far I am loving this game and I hate it at the same time, So im having a hard time whether I should recommend this game to other steam users or not recommend it at all. But for now I won't recommend it, because of the game problems that was stated earlier and one of the reason why I don't recommend it, is because I love you guys I don't want you to experience what I experienced in this game. (makes my blood boil everytime I DC &/ failed reconnecting evry foking time) =================================================================
PROS
^WASD key movement, ^You are what you wear, ^Fishing, You can fish in almost every map, Fish can be eaten to restore HP, Raises your fishing lvl by catching a fish, "Shiny" a form of fish that gives a particular stat/s when eaten (The effect is permanent), ^Chopping trees, You can chop tree to craft an armor, helmet, leggings/pants, The higher the level of you chopping skill, the faster you can cut a tree, ^PvP Gives you a point/s everytime you slay an enemy player, ^GvG Gives you a guild contribution everytime you slay an opponent, ^Guilds, When one of your guildmate is in the same map/area with you or anyone in the guild, the experience from slaying a monster (in that area) will be shared or divided within the player ( the slayer gets the majority of the exp / gets the highest exp than the guildmates who are in the same area with you) ^Pets, Helps w/ damaging or killing monster or an enemy player when you're in GvG or PvP server. Boost stat/s when DeActivated / in spirit orb form. ^Leaderboards, Overall Player Points ( I think you gain points from killing monsters and an enemy player), Player Level, Enemy kills PvP kills Chopping Tree Level, Fishing Level, Pet Level, Pet Parties, Guild Levels ( All of the guild's member levels are combined), Guild Contribution (The combination of all guild member contributed points) Guild PvP kills ^5 Different servers Server 1-4 are the safe server, PvP server, You can also make your very own private server, you need to pay for it ofcourse, ^Music Some catchy and intense music, Makes your grinding faster, ^Gold drops Whenever a player is killed by a monster or an enemy player 50% of theirgold will be dropped on the floor and can be picked up by the other player, =================================================================
CONS

Scammers The player in the game are so try hard in scamming newbie players. Some people are getting scammed due to a poor trading system.
Bugs
Hacks Although the player that uses hax are getting fewer,
Hackers Some tryhard hacker in-game,
Glitches
Limited Inventory Slot You are given a 20 inventory slots in-game, You can buy more inventory slots, but will cost you either real money or a hefty sum of in- game money,
Gold drops Yea yea, I love picking gold whenever a player dies in front of me, but whenever this thing happens to me it boils my blood, like WTF I worked hard to get that money. DANG!,
ATM You can deposit your gold for free, You can also deposit your items in the atm, but you need to buy or own an item storage,
Disconnections You will automatically be DC whenever you tp or enter an overpopulated area,
Login wait time Everytime you DC theres a login wait time approx. 5-20mins. which is annoying,
Bans You get banned for no particular reason, Sometimes steam user experience this ban thingy, I experience it more than once and had to wait for hours sometimes days so that you can play again,
An uneditable controls,
NO potion button or Key bindings,
Skill buttons are way too far from the W,A,S,D movement,
No weapon, armor, leggings/ pants, shoe or misc items.enchantment or renforcement So basically whenever you PvP or GvG your only advatage is your level and a right stat and skill build ( althought skill build won't matter in the long run 'cause you can max all the special skill "Warrior, Archer, Mage, Cowboy" more or less when you hit lvl 300 which sucks), And your playstyle win also win you the battle,
Guild System A Super limited guild slots 0/40 members. Guild Contribution/Guild points is useless Normally, In every game we use the guild points / guild contributions to expand or level up the guild to have / get an additional guild slots ( the more the merrier), Buffs, and etc.
No Party System
Monster doesn't have an attack animation If you get too close to them you'll be insta dmged.
~~~~ This is it for now, I will update my review from time to time. And if the game gets good I might change it to "Not recommended" to "Recommended" Feel free to add me on steam or in-game, If you want to add me on steam make sure to leave a comment first on my steam profile before doing so. 'cause I ALWAYS ignore random friend request. I HOPE my review HELPED you SOMEHOW Have a great week ahead :) P.S. Here's my past review of the game, & also you can find all of the answer to your questions HERE
One of the old players from 2013. What a time to be alive and playing helmet heroes. With it fully gone from steam, The game will be slowly forgotten. Rip helmet heroes. Thanks for the wonderful memories.
Шлемные Герои — и еще одна помершая в Стиме браузерная ММОшка. Игрушка древняя, ныне недоступна ни на одной платформе, ни в Стиме, ни в браузере, ни на мобилках. При этом официального сообщения о закрытии даже не было. Разрабы, такие разрабы. Как итог: поставим шлем на полку, и расходимся.
This game is basically my childhood. Ignore my hours on steam, i spent most of my time on the browser version. I have to say, the game isn't exactly bad. I really enjoyed the game for the first few hundred hours, the quests are truly trash but you don't need them. If you like grinding as much as me, this game might seem like a paradise. But when you start playing more and more, you start to realize that grinding is the only thing you do in this game. Nothing else, it's grinding and buying new equipment to become stronger for the next area. But despite this, i was young back then and i really didn't mind the grind at first. The first year playing this game went by quickly, playing on and off. After this year i only looked back at the game a few times but never started playing actively again. So i can conclude that this game was super addictive when i was young, but it's true nature becomes more apparent when you grow older. Don't get me wrong, this game has a lot of potential and it genuinly is fun if you like 2d grinding games, but that's all it is. I still have amazing memories from this game and it has brought me some nice experiences so i'm definitely recommending this to people who have too much time on their hands.
