Don't buy this game. Don't get it for free. Don't even talk about it or gift it to friends as a bad game joke. Make it disappear by exposing it as little as humanly possible. The puzzles aren't really puzzles, they are just random "things" that apply some sort of logic if you know the answers, otherwise they are pretty much impossible to solve. With dumb ideas such as "play the game at 5 am a friday and visit the ingame browser at the time and head to stream store". With the logic being that the game was released a friday at 5 am and by heading to the store at this time with the intention of buying the game. Thus solving a "puzzle" and making you able to move on in this game. This game feels like some sort of early school programming assignment given in school to teach students to program that was continued afterwards filled with inside jokes and "inside puzzles". Definition of a inside puzzle would be:" a puzzle that only certain people understand; a puzzle understood only by people who know certain facts and context.". Unfortunately along with the release of the game the developer also released a walktrought that is so excruciating badly written that no one else will make a guide or walktrought of the game since there's already one offical walkthrough. By badly written I mean that the walkthrough may have correct spelling and following some grammar rules but the actual text doesn't mean anything. Avoid as the plague. Ignore this title, exit this store page and forget all about this game.
- Jay Zhang,

Difficult puzzle game.

[th]Bug/ Problem[/th] [th]Solution[/th]

Everything is very pixelated. Impossible to read. Calculator's and every other window's lowest part of it doesn't function at all. Change your resolution to much higher one.
I restarted the game a lot and then tried to change the resolution. It fixed it! Everything was readable and functionable. You're welcome!
I can't really recommend this, even though it's free. On paper, it sounds like a game that's right up my alley, but in practice, it needs either some more work, a better story, or both. The game opens with a puzzle that has an ... unusual solution, and the font used is terrible for the purpose (1 and l look exactly the same). Once you get in, the user interface remains an annoyance. There's a calculator that doesn't work - I mean sure, it's used to input stuff to unlock journal entries, but surely it could function like a calculator as well? - and a minigame with super counter-intuitive controls. There are also journal entries, which are very realistic, but as a consequence also very boring. There is no scroll bar on windows either which makes the whole thing even more annoying. The main hook of the game is supposed to be this whole mystery of what happened to the owner of the laptop, but honestly, after unlocking three journal entries, I couldn't really care less about the guy. If you're going to make the puzzles abstruse and the interface wonky, at least give the game a good story. But with 0/3, there really is no reason to play this.
I feel really bad giving a thumbs down, but I just cannot recommend this game given the state it is in. The worst thing about it is, I can tell there was effort put into trying to convey the narrative and concept it wants to show, but the problem sorely lies in its execution. To be frank, there is a gigantic pile of other negative reviews for this game that go into more detail about its many issues, so I'll just say this: - The gameplay is neither interesting nor is it fun. Often feels unintuitive and vague as to how to solve the puzzles or progress in the game. -The graphical style makes (especially) the opening frustrating and harder to read, as well as affecting how well the UI functions. - Even though the game is free, it is NOT worth the time you sink into it, because the cons massively overshadow the pros. Unless you're an achievement hunter and use a guide, I just can't say it's even worth trying. It kinda stings to say this, but just don't waste your time with Heavy Dreams. At least, in the state it is in right now.

Too difficult. The game doesn't explain much on how to play, or gives any hints. When you do succeed to get a head in the game it's not satisfying.
