Once more, Tero demonstrates he can now use AI slop instead of stealing other people's assets (although the cardgame blueprint he ripped off from Unreal is also an asset), but the outcome for gamers is the same... another fake game with fake assets, a minimum viable product designed to scrape a few roubles out of random game key bundle sales. But this time, with disgusting AI slop as Tero manages to sink even lower into unethical garbageware production... and make no mistake, this is spam, Tero has literally hundreds of asset flips under various shell accounts that he uses to try hide his identity. It has no value or merit as a real game. Should you take this seriously, you almost immediately will lose that inclination to take this seriously when you see how bad it is as a game. Simple, barebones mechanics, nonsensical card placements... this Hearthstone ripoff is awful. The closest it gets to being a real card game is the name really does sound like Hearthstone... on purpose, of course, the developer here can't help but to ape and rip off the work of others wherever he can. But he does want your money for this garbage. Zombie Developer/Tero Lunkka have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is "Secret Achievement!", playing this crap, trivial to get, but less than 33 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, even the people who own this game weren't interested in it. The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 130,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this better than any of the 130,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! Hearth Storm has the laughable price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. For comparison, the $5 asking price for this game could get you games like "Battlefield V", "Mad Max" or "Shadow Warrior". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
