Heart of the Kingdom: Rebellion was an abandoned attempt at making a mobile-app tier time-idler game where you're expected to idle and log on and check your village over time. Of course the intention for these kinds of games to make people repeatedly log on and check progress is ad impressions, but this is Steam, where that kind of thing isn't tolerated, and the game doesn't have any ads that I could see. It's apparent from this that the developer had no clear plan or architecture for the game... and failing to plan is planning to fail. And fail this did, the developer pulled this from Steam. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Many of the controls don't work properly and it's clear many gamers were unable to play at all.. developers must understand that playtesting is not optional. Steam is not a dumping ground for untested garbage, we are not here to buy untested crap just because failed game developers want some of our money. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this is a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Heart of the Kingdom: Rebellion was removed from Steam by the developers, but not before the developers took a lot of money from gamers, and they also shoved this into numerous cheap nasty game bundles despite the incomplete and untested nature of the "game". No money was returned to any of the gamers who were scammed into buying this; it was a cash grab and an unethical scam.

Simulator monitoring the operation of the mill and the accumulation of gold. I'm kidding) I do not know what's waiting for me further, but for now I can distinguish atmospheric sounds and unusual graphics. I hope the combat system will not fail. Later, I will write about it. Kindness to you<3
Extremely boring game. A very poor mobile ported game. There's literally nothing to do in this game, except wait long hours and hours for resources to build something else. It's another very bad mobile port to pc, all they did was remove the pay to play. The very long timers are still there. Obviously since it's a mobile port, no option to restart, not that I see the point of restarting in the first place, there's nothing to do!!!! You can eventually build 12 buildings in total, you have access to 2 (sawmill and windmill), once you build those, you gain access to another 6, and then whatever requirements (that aren't listed) to build the rest (if you're still awake, a live, and haven't deleted this game yet). No tutorial!!! No clue what to do. The sawmill makes 11 wood per WHAT?!!!!! It doesn't tell you how much wood you per whatever amount of time. You just look at it once in a while to see if there is any in there. This method appears to be the same for all buildings. I don't even know how much gold (if any) I'm making. There's just a lot of info that was never put in or removed. Just like it doesn't tell you how much time it'll take to build something with X amount of workers, just a guessing game. Your workers are shared among the buildings, however many workers you have in total is how many it shows in each building. What it doesn't tell you is how many you actually need in your town. Funny, you send food to stock (that you must click each time), but no where does it tell you how much food you have in stock, how much you need to be making, or why you even need it. Just like it doesn't tell you how much money or anything else you are making. I know, this game should be tagged as a mystery game, since it's all so mysterious. It looks like you produce 11 wood per 20 minutes (it's a rough guess, I zoned out). It takes 240 wood to build housing (the cheapest building), that means you only have to wait about 7 hours after your first two buildings are built. I added more workers and made the same amount, WTF? Oh yes, your workers get tired, but since they are too stupid to rest on their own, you must tell them to go rest. I was wondering what the fatigue bars was for and the 'send to rest' button in the buildings. And oddly that only applies to the sawmill, of course, it's a important resource that you need for construction. I was curious how long it takes to rest to recover fatigue. Apparently, you must wait unit fatigue reaches 100%, since it wasn't going down. Unfortunately after sending my townies to rest, the fatigue kept going up and I was unable to send them back to work (is this a game bug, or are you wanting everyone to give up on it?) No camera controls, you're stuck in one view. No keyboard controls. It 's all mouse. Windowed mode is trash, it runs a bit onto my other screen with no way to resize. and the regular view some of the town is chopped off, unless you exit and run it in a lower resolution then what you have, and, wow, look, I see more of the town that I can't scroll around in. When you're looking at the build menu, then select a building, in that menu there's a button that says "Information" Which when clicked tells you to go look in the help menu, which is actually WHERE? I know, it's invisible and you must make a see invisibility potion to see it! I get automatic experience for doing nothing but staring at the screen. It's like a job, get paid to stare at a screen and do nothing but watch the clock. I instantly got 5 achievements for just starting the game. I was like WTF, why not just give them all to me? There is a picture at the bottom of the screen, with the name of Paul Collins. Shouldn't that be my avatar with my name? This game is trying to tell me something, unfortunately I didn't listen for 80 minutes. If all strategy games where like this, it would be a dead genre. No one would want to babysit a game for hours and hours just to be able to do one thing. Guessing you devs have never played a computer game, go back to mobile land. On the store page, the first screen shot is what you look at ALL the time. BTW it's a dead game, saw 3 peeps in chat, all wondering WTH to do in this game plus 1 fanboy. I got this game in some bundle from which I wanted another game. After 80 minutes of sheer boredom I deleted this game.
dont do it,its a trap
I think this game has potential. I hope over time it will only get better. Please dont stop working on it.
Imi zice si kie cineva mai rerge cacatu asta de joc?
The game's not on sale anymore so this review is mostly pointless I guess.. Anyway, I loaded into the map or whatever screen it is that shows us where our town/kingdom is. Can't do a thing. Nothing does anything. Pressed all sorts of buttons, clicked on everything I could.
Literally unplayable...
