Heart of Battle

Very Enjoyable for me.

A little fast paced, especially at the beginning, but I still had a blast playing!

An absolute masterpiece. I want to write something here to convey how much I enjoyed it, but if I mention that my favorite part was being able to play out trans-friendly sex scenes, I might alienate the audience who is excited to find a spicy romance game where they can fully enjoy the entire game playing an asexual character. If I talk about the amazing queer romance, will I put off people who might enjoy one of the other options available with the multiple gender-selectable characters? All I can say is it was amazing and I can't wait until the sequel, Heart of the Mountain, is finished.

This is hands down my favorite Heart's Choice IF! It perfectly combines the 'romance should be the priority' vibe with a story that is actually engaging enough to keep you invested. The writing is so immersive, I really felt like I was a gladiator standing in that arena. The only struggle? The various ROs were all so good, it was almost impossible to choose who to romance!

Ok so this has the best written polyamory options I have seen in a Choice of Game. The characters are interesting and so are the options at how to handle your situation.

It was ok. Not best text game I played but still decent. I kinda enjoyed fights we could have and I really enjoyed possibility to kill [spoiler] leader of Last Company. Unfortunetly I wasn't able to kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mage as well but I quess its live.[/spoiler] I would like to have more time to develop proper relationship with RO but as gladiator I kinda get it that it will be rushed. Also I would like to have more time to spend with RO (at my playthrough it was healer) but it still wasn't the worse.

I finally sat down and played through this interactive story after purchasing it months ago and I don't regret sticking with it! There were a few bumps that made it hard for me to get into the story. Some of them, if not most of them, may just come down to personal preference. The main character doesn't really have a strong voice, which I understand is done on purpose to let players project their own character's personality onto. I personally find it a bit harder to embrace the main character's struggles and motivations that way. And I feel like the other characters suffer a little bit from it, since they don't have a strong protagonist to bounce off of. The cast is still very likeable and charming, though. And I really enjoyed the diversity of both friends and foes throughout the story. Another thing that made it hard for me to get into the story is the stakes. They are high yet they didn't feel like they were that high. Maybe the fights didn't feel dangerous enough, maybe the MC could have struggled more throughout the story to make their success that much more satisfying. I also would have loved to delve deeper into the world. More descriptions, more moments to soak in this interesting fantasy setting. Maybe developping the MC's backstories a little more would have helped with making the game feel more immersive? Now I realize that this is a romance game and that is the main focus, but what can I say, I'm greedy lol. That being said, the experience was overall very fun and refreshing. The story strays far away from the tired tropes that usually plagues the romance genre and it is written with a lot of care and kindness, for lack of a better word. The romances are sweet, there are some very fun moments where your MC can get a little feral (one of my favorite scenes got to be [spoiler]biting Aztore's face [/spoiler]), and I appreciated the freedom you have in choosing how you want your MC's story to end. There are a lot of interesting opportunities offered to the MC and I might explore some different ones when I decide to revisit the game.
