Update: Changing the rating from "not recommended" to "recommended" because the game is now set to a more reasonable price. Update 2 (after one month): Since the developer's comments about my professionalism have not been removed, despite going out of my way to point out the specific issues, I am permanently changing my rating to "not recommended". It looks fine on images, but the game simply isn't exciting or even rewarding. The game is a simple Collect-a-Thon. You're dropped into this vast environment where you can jump around and try to find 1,000 ice creams. You can also punch, although it feels nearly worthless because there aren't many enemies and you can simply avoid them. Another drawback is that punching is unsatisfying. When you punch an enemy, it does not respond and simply drops after a few punches. The major issue is that the game does not make collecting fun. True, the world is big, yet it is mostly made up of open spaces with trees and occasional landmark. There may be a friendly robot here and there, but they have nothing important to say. Although you receive a message when you discover a new region, you do not feel excited because everything appears to be the same. Collectibles aren’t great- the whole thing feels pointless because you don't receive any new abilities or prizes for discovering them. Furthermore, they're difficult to locate, and there's nothing pointing to the nearest one. There's no map or radar. It's quite easy to walk right past them and miss them. Optimization could use some more work. The game is too demanding for an indie game that should be accessible to as many people as possible. While high and epic graphical options add eye candy, they also significantly slow down the game and stick low-quality textures on objects, making everything look more ugly. I discovered that the issue is broken shadows, so you'll have to decide what you want. If you want epic shadows, you'll have to settle with low-quality textures; if you want normal textures, you'll have to put up with ugly shadows that appear a few steps in front of you. It's probably best to just turn them off. Another troublesome setting is the foliage. This has an effect on the number of trees, rocks, and other objects in the world. The issue is that it simply makes them invisible, not entirely removes them. This means you'll bump into invisible rocks or stumps, as well as ice cream floating in the air. There are also clipping issues visible everywhere, but that’s understandable with the size of the world. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3126742266 -low textures, broken shadows (two shadows on the main character, missing shadows and shadows from objects that aren't even there) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3126742370 -no shadows, high textures on mushrooms and trees Finally, when you put everything together, the game is far too expensive. Some of the top games are available for the same price. This is also the biggest reason for the "not recommended" rating. If the game was around $5, you'd be willing to overlook some of its flaws.
No clue. Collect 1000 ice creams I guess? Do this while also battling lagging framerates and poor platforming.
