About
Harvest Hunt is a single player, first-person survival horror game with a blend of rogue-lite elements, where every run is asking you to adapt in different ways in order to survive. Experience a dark folk-horror tale of a cursed village set in a suffocating atmosphere filled with dread, within the beautifully painterly rendered village of Luna Nova.

Ambrosia, the precious resource scattered around the cornfields, grows in strange ways and the hunger for it is strong. During the night, enter the cursed land of Luna Nova and harvest Ambrosia to keep your village alive. But beware, the Devourer is prowling the fields and is tainting it. In a race against the clock, turn off your lantern to sneak and hide, or fight and banish the Devourer for a bigger reward.

Tentacle creatures, poisoned waters and other dangerous calamities plague Luna Nova. But there is still hope. During the day, experience the enigmatic Whispers, a tarot-inspired system providing endless permutations of calamities but also blessings. Play multiple tense 10-15 minute runs over the course of 5 challenging harvest seasons where your abilities reset with each season and the Devourer evolves and grows stronger.

A pricey voodoo doll made of wood or a free rusty pitchfork? An ability to build hideouts in the fields or to heal you while crouched? Unlock a myriad of otherworldly weapons and abilities for your Warden and village and build your own deck to suit your needs. Will you sacrifice your own health to equip them? Choose your playstyle and survive.

An aristocrat far removed from wealth and ease, a priest left armed with his sacred verses; what led them here, and why do these ethereal Whispers haunt their every step? Embody a colorful cast of characters and explore the lives of these seemingly ordinary villagers through the eyes of a modern day Investigator plagued with the same curse and running out of time…

Was super fun for some adrenaline run/jump scare play! Not my usual type of game - cool art, great atmosphere and easy to pick up when you want to pass some time.
What a fresh take on a horror game! The graphics are simply beautiful, and the gameplay is quite different than anything else I've played. The atmosphere is just badass, and I've had quite a few good jumpscares on this one! Well done, highly recommend. I'll absolutely be playing more of this game!
Harvest Hunt is a cool stylish horror roguelike. As the description says, runs take 10 minutes or so - you run around and gather weapons and materials while a monster chases you around the playing field every time. The map stays the same every run but the abilities and weapons available to you and the monster change between each run. It's not incredibly scary even at the most tense points of a chase. It's more casual than I expected in a lot of ways - I'm not saying that's a good or bad thing. It's an easy horror-themed roguelike that's on the lighter side of being scary. As you play you unlock lore tidbits after each run - It's well written, good stuff. I haven't finished the game and don't know yet how it ties up, but I can say that from the outset the writing is pretty solid. It's got a kind of "web of lies and intrigue" kind of mysterious air where each character feels unique through their writing, it's awesome. Definitely a labor of love - I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to play a horror game at their own pace with great lore drip-fed to you between runs.

What if Dead By Daylight was good, singleplayer, and had a great story to it all!
I think the last time I got this anxious playing a horror-themed game was back in the 90s with OG Resident Evil. Really inventive powers and abilities system. Forces, encourages, and rewards the player for approaching things differently. Great work for such a small team!
I'm not usually a fan of horror games but something about this was just so enjoyable that I couldn't tear myself away. I have to admit I was more of a flight than fight warden (choosing to take the ambrosia and run whenever I could) but part of what makes this great is being able to pick how you play. I was definitely more unlucky on my first playthrough when it came to the cards I was pulling, so if you have the same trouble, just try again as the randomness giveth and it taketh away (and you'll probably be fine the next run if you had some really bad luck). I ended up forcing my husband and son to get involved too, so all three of us were invested as we reached the final season.
Very well made survival folk horror that really feels unique. Amazing work, Villainous Games!
10/10 The characters' premise fits my needs of perspective. This might not mean anything, and I apologize if this isn't misleading. I don't leave bad reviews, all efforts are a perfect score.
Great game and a lot of fun. Not too long to 100% the game but it's replayable and enjoyable throughout
