The art and music are great. What really makes this game worth it is the couch co-op. Had a blast playing this with my girlfriend.
I made this, so i like it!
Harvest Hero Origins is a gem of a game with some major retro vibes. I really enjoyed playing this one with my partner. You can unlock a bunch of different characters and figure out which ones you like best. If you play it in co-op mode like I did, then you figure out which characters pair the best in order to destroy the enemies. It gets super wild very quickly and it is easy to get overrun by pesky critters that will either do damage to you or damage to the player's home. So get ready to protect your home! This game is addictive and hard to stop playing once you get started. So you've been warned! It's a hard recommend from me.
I'm enjoying this.
Good execution. Feels much more memory safe than usual too!
HH:O sports gameplay mechanics worthy of its visual presentation. Like more old-school styled titles, the appeal of the game comes more from your own increasing knowledge of finer mechanics. What you learn meshes well with what progression is there; Learning you can stack your clones using edge collision is especially useful on some of the unlockable characters. Always worth noting, no DLC, no microtransactions. Pay money, get game. Good stuff.
This game is great fun, especially in 2 player mode. It's easy to pick up, but hard to put down once you get into it! Use boxing hero, for no particular reason, just do.
Harvest Hero Origins is definitely one of the best games I've ever played!
Here's a little list of just some of the stuff I love about it :3 - The art is gorgeous, the color schemes are beautiful, and the music is absolutely wonderful :D!! - Unlocking characters is fun yet challenging, and the survival mode is super fun and almost addictive XD!! - The leader boards make the scores for survival mode feel competitive in a fun way, like playing in a Pokemon League, but way easier to pick up! - The game introduces new enemies at just the right pace, and I love all of their designs and functions! Even if some of them are tricky to fight X'D! - The mechanics are simple yet super fun, with each character having their own twist to their move set, so you can pick your favorite style! - The different characters also span different games, having some other indie game's characters cameo, which I love! Indies supporting indies for the win :D!! - The game has a story mode as well, which is super engaging and just the right amount of a challenge! I can say for sure I've had my butt kicked by a boss a couple times! - There's also an online multi-player mode where you can play Survival Mode with friends, and it's a total blast! They've even got a matchmaking section in the game's Discord server! That's all I can think of for now, but as you can see, there's tons of reasons I love this game :D!! I definitely recommend giving it a buy and a try if you can, it's 100% worth it imo! [strike] (also totally unbiased but CatsMcBats for best supporting unlockable character role in Harvest Hero Origins hands down >:D) [/strike] -JSpinz[strike], aka the totally unbiased creator of said CatsMcBats [/strike]
It's a fun game with simple yet addicting game play!
Cute little retro-style arcade game that works great as a casual co-op experience. It also happens to only be $3, so worst case you bought the devs half a coffee. Please buy them half a coffee.
