Step into the dark and unforgiving world of vampires as Isaac Ambrose the human altar boy. While investigating a mysterious crypt you come across something that will change the course of your life forever. What awaits you behind the veil is a world far more intricate and unsettling than you’d ever dared conceive.

Voice in the Darkness: Experience the thrilling voice acting as Isaac retells the experience from his childhood.
Isaac's Story Duration: A single playthrough should take around 15 minutes but it is designed to be played multiple times.
Vampiric Lore: Uncover the canon ending and multiple alternative game over endings as you unravel captivating layers of lore.
Prelude to Portents: Be introduced to Isaac Ambrose and a insidious faction of undead from ‘Harrowed World: Portents In Red’, an upcoming modern gothic vampire RPG.
Bonus Systems: Explore the Internal Achievements and Lexicon Systems.
Supported: Controller Support (partially tested) and Mac and Linux Support (untested).

Harrowed World takes creatures of myth and folklore reimagining them as concealed predators and tricksters. This vision of the world is dystopian and bleak with both human and inhuman horrors, but most people are blissfully ignorant of the dark forces at work around them.
Vampires, magical folk, and other beings compete for power and influence through secret societies, corporate power, and religious sects.

Developer doesn't want anyone to play the game apart from how he or she wants you to play and removed the guide that helped you get all achievements in 5 minutes (speed run) so NO I don't recommend this game
game is fun and graphics are good, great story line achievements all work - I would recommend this game
Unfortunately this was a pass for me. Not bad as such but seems like a WIP, or something whipped up for a game jam on short notice. Writing was OK, and had some flavorful wording, but I lacked any investment as a reader due to the structure. Very little world building or build up before things start abruptly happening and needing to make choices. Short as it may be I couldn't find any compulsory reason to stay engaged. Art was fine, though BG and character sprites were a mismatch of separate styles. On the whole just felt incomplete.

Harrowed World is an immersive vampire visual novel game with a beautiful, unique Gothic style of artwork, captivating music & a very intriguing plot. Your choices dictate the outcome of the story. There are multiple characters in the game that will be revealed as their own chapters. I highly recommend delving into Harrowed World if you love vampires and the macabre. I can't wait see how the rest of the story unfolds!
This all felt like vampire the masquerade but a little to the left and now that I've seen that most ads from Harrowed World all go along the lines of "we're not vtmb2!" makes me feel like I'm not far from it. This whole thing was a lore dump where instead of Cain there's Judas, instead of clans there's legacies, instead of ghouls there's doxies and so on. You could aim to make your own universe but instead you're copying White Wolf's homework while claiming you're not chasing money when your renpy UI looks like a dlc gallery. EDIT: as you can see in the comments the developer has decided to take my review personally and complain about their money struggles and the pricing of Steam publishing as if it's my problem while still managing to be condescending towards my knowledge on vampire media. Someone should tell them that if their only selling point is that Bloodlines 2 has two clans locked as DLC, then half their marketing is now a lie because those clans are now included in the base game. To anyone seeing this, I recommend that you take your time and money anywhere else.
visual novel fun to play good story line achievements all work would recommend
Promising start to this game, even though it is very short. I am very interested as to where this leads and what lore the game will reveal This tale leans to the gothic horror vampire rather than the modern sexy seducer so I have great hopes for a traditional horror VN as the various DLC are added. One to keep an eye on!
Short, sweet, and intriguing. Love the visual novel vampire lore. I love that you can choose different outcomes to unlock more while gaining achievements. Can't wait for more.
I think it'll be best to have a "Wait and see" approach to this VN since the only story right now feels a bit like an introduction to the world than anything and it isn't a long story by any means. And while the art is fine, I found the lack of transitions a bit jarring which never happened to me before with a VN,
Such a fun game! Enjoyed going through the dialogue options and collecting the achievements. I can't wait for more stories to be added and see the other games this dev is putting out!
