Harmony effortlessly marries the timeless strategies of chess and the accessibility of checkers within a soothing minimalist art style. The uncluttered visuals and game play provide a serene backdrop. The game strikes a perfect balance between accessibility and depth, making it enjoyable for both newcomers and seasoned players. The tranquil soundtrack enhances the contemplative atmosphere. I also enjoy playing it because no two games are the same.
I like this game, it's both challenging and relaxing :) on my way to achieving Humility
It's a decent board game. What I enjoy most about this game is the smooth, minimal, relaxing design. The mechanics are easy to grasp, and the combinatorially huge number of different win states suggests that a detailed meta could emerge from the game. I would suggest playing this game with a friend, as the computer opponent is... challenged, to say the least. A really tough computer opponent to train on would be a massive improvement to this game in my opinion.
I like the concept, it's like a cross of chess and connect four (and maybe checkers?). The "vs computer" mode is a little dumb and takes a second to think of its move, but I think that's an easy enhancement. Playing online with friends has been the most fun part, we have a running competition during other games' match queue wait times. Worth the price if you gift a copy imo.
Harmony is a simple game with relatively few rules, reminiscent of older board game classics. To me this game plays like a cross between chess and connect four. Harmony leans into its minimalist aesthetic and is quite relaxing, something about the radial board layout and the way the pieces sound sliding around gives a dreamy almost ethereal atmosphere to each game. This game is best played against another person, either locally or online, I found playing against the computer rather disappointing after having previously played against some friends. To me this game scratches the same itch as tic-tac-toe but with enough complexity to make it an enjoyable challenge when outsmarting your friends. Its simple enough I feel like I could play it with anyone.
Harmony is a well put together strategy game that pushes players to think several steps ahead of their opponent and to outwit them. At first harmony may look difficult however upon loading onto the game there is a brief yet detailed and informative rules section which allows players to understand the concept of the game before playing. The rules section was clear and very understanding allowing a quick grasp on how to play without spending many hours playing through a tutorial. The game play itself is simple and inventive and takes a new take on games like chess. The game is quick to learn but difficult to master allowing players to strive and put hours into this amazing game. This allows the game to be played over and over again and becomes quite addictive after a while. For players wanting a new strategy experience I highly recommend giving this game a try as you yourself may become hooked too !!
Game design is simple and unique. The bot should have some choice of difficulty to increase competitiveness. I like the familiarity of almost playing tick-tack-toe but mixed in with something more like checkers. Interesting concept and could absolutely be a hit with some revision!!!
A great simple, easy, and addicting game!! It is easy to learn and get the hang of, but still requires thinking and strategizing in order to win! I Also recommend it for people who love board games!
Harmony is a simple yet beautiful game, evoking a similar experience to chess, but with a completely different feel. The mechanics are simple yet entirely novel and give you the feeling that there is endless strategy waiting to be exploited. Thinking a few moves ahead of your opponent is absolutely necessary, and prepare to have your strategic mind challenged by the unexpected turns that can be taken in the game; players can move opponents' pieces, move all the way across the board in one turn, and swap pieces out. These elements give players the opportunity for deceptions and surprise plays that are sure to keep gameplay interesting for many many games, even though a single game can be as quick as a few minutes. The overall experience is peaceful and compelling, especially with the attractive minimalist aesthetic and atmospheric soundscape.
Harmony is a minimalistic strategy game that offers an accessible and straightforward gaming experience. Its simplicity is its defining feature, catering to those who want a laid-back yet engaging challenge without the complexity of more elaborate strategy games.
