Harem Rush! Impish Fantasy

Been playing this game since it was on Patreon for at least when it was literally new in early access which was back in 2021! the game has evolved alot with tons of new content over the years! Game is very simple to understand and how to play, requires some grinding to become more powerfull for future levels. musics are nice to listen to. you can play with your keyboard & mouse or simply with the mouse, which are 2 way to play and both are very easy to uses. (keyboard has more access since it has keybind tho) the H content is very smooth and satisfying to watch. I would recommend this game for both gameplay and the H!

It's a solid game that makes me think of Parade Buster. The scenario is a little weak, but the h-content is rather rich. The difficulty is just right; it's challenging but not impossible. For the endgame, you can reset your stat points to get Wit to 160 and switch to a magic user. Then you can spam magic on everything, which makes everything easier.

Harem rush! Impish fantasy is exactly what it sounds like and the question of course that I'm sure everyone has is...is it any good? And the answer is yes! Surprisingly so, both in gameplay and *ahem* content, could it be better in certain regards? I mean what game couldn't be but for what it is, despite the slowish start that will be misleading, there's a game here that I was more than happy to spend 30 hours goo-I mean playing dood! X3 Okay detailed stuff! So this is an Isekai! Yaaay! lol not my favourite genre these days but for silly stuff like this it is more acceptable to me, you are a perverted fellow forced to reincarnate into a world as it's hero! Where you will "Purify" girls under the demon lords control and yes purification is that, if you don't know what that is you may wanna consider coming back in a few years dood. The game is similar to parade buster if you've ever heard of that in that you use your mouse (or handy dandy controller set up if you have as much patience as me in steams controller settings) to move the icon over an enemy and either attack, defend, counter or dodge, you also have magic and skills to use too dood! There are 7 weapon types, all with unique skills and uses to go along with four spell types to fight with, you can feel free to specialise like me going full melee or go for a caster build, with enough skill anything is viable in the game which is nice dood. Girls come in a nice variety and also with their own patterns and moves, some more than others, it really made combat shockingly fun, normal girls will only ever attack you but once beaten you can purify them but the demon girls can grab you, honestly this game is a switches dreams but even if you aren't one there's a fair amount of both for the player overall, if grabbed you have one of five mini games in which to escape making for some great variety dood. The game does have an odd issue though, I think it's possibly a kind of loading issue but it could be exclusive to steam deck seeing as it's not verified or the like, it's nothing game breaking but essentially once you are finished during an animation despite it meant to be a kind of time freeze moment a girls attack animation will kind of continue, meaning you will get hit, likely no matter what you do depending on what action you took and when but the games not that hard and you even have very easy to fall back on if things get too frustrating dood. You have items which to make sure you don't abuse them you are limited to how many of each type you can use, you also have accessories with a decent variety of effects and uses, albeit some way more handy than others, to the point I admit the game could have done with one if not two extra slots or maybe unique accessory slots so to speak dood. And that's all I really have to say about the game, the animations are really nice, the stories actually pretty funny, there's two endings and a NG+ that gets harder, you also have challenges you can do for further rewards which is great and you even have alt colours for most of the girls which is always nice too dood. A well-made first-person clicker action game where you need to use your mouse to attack, block, parry along with dodging depending on enemy attack types, along with using keyboard to switch weapons and use weapon skills. It's simple to play but different to master. One can also level up on different stats and create various builds, from melee builds to magic build, along with switching equipment. The game also offers high quality animations for the enemies, be it defeat animations or grapple attack animations. The one thing that can be done better would be to add more defeat animation varieties, animation pose variants, the ability to toggle outfit visibility and slime visibility, along with adding grappling animations for enemies that didn't have grappling attack by default (e.g. regular enemies such as spearman, shield users, thieves and such) as something that would be used for hard mode to spice up attack patterns for hard mode, I look forward to have more animations to be added in the future. Moreover, besides battle gallery, I'd like to have scene gallery animations for each enemy character as something of "romancing them after winning them in battles in daily life" kind of thing. While the game can get grindy and difficult at late game, the animations are rewarding and very well-made. Highly recommended.

TL;DR - Simple straight forward fun, enough of a game to actually enjoy the gameplay as is and a story to go along with the fan-service. If you aren't careful you'll end up with more hours in this game than you might like to admit, the game has surprisingly good gameplay and levelling mechanics, the early levels are easy enough and later levels are a bit of a challenge but honing your skills beating the early levels without getting hit and delaying fights to 'fan-service' every enemy is a good way to train your skills, reflexes and mouse control to help with later levels. (Those skills help in other games too and I know so many people who lack those skills) This is an okay game for its price and I'd say its worth buying, if you give the game a chance and don't give up at the first sign of resistance you could have a lot of fun, I however have played videogames in general so much I know have to train my reflexes for games like this and get the timings perfect (Speed running games and playing Darksouls has led to me trivialising games like this as if it where a point and click adventure game or a rhythm game) but if your the person who fears those dreaded "Quick time events" where you have a few seconds to press a button then this game with give you a run for your money with something far more interactive and requiring a bit of what most people would call 'skill' to complete, don't feel bad if you loose just once the game does scale in difficulty and I thing it has a good balance, for those like me I get a good challenge that forces me to slow down a bit and enjoy the game and the less skilled (Those with full-time jobs, husband/wife and a family) the game allows you to replay early missions on higher difficulty for more levels, loot and money to help get farther through the game.

Surprisingly good and smooth gameplay, variety in terms of combat combinations, lovely animations, and the right balance of challenging without being overly frustrating. Well worth the price in my opinion. The story is straightforward, but humorous. I would very much recommend this for those seeking a fun, engaging, and, well, spicy content. Personal note: Can't help but wonder if this takes place in the same world as another the game I believe the dev made. Virgin Invader I believe it was called. Never got to play it myself, but certain aspects of this game for some reason remind me of it. Here's to hoping that game comes to steam too.
