Great movement system, lots of fun to speedrun!
Cool gameplay and visuals. Needs some tweaking but its definitely worth a play, especially considering it's free.
Love the movement thumbs up for me... Ultra settings destroy the game with lag, but that might only be for me

I can't play on WASD. Game have no options to rebind buttons. Control layout is just terribly unplayable for me. Conclusion - i can't play this game. Thanks this is free, but my fingers are dearer to me. Add rebind feature please! FPS-like games without it is nonsense!
Hard Light Vector is a simple, somewhat esoteric amateur/indie made first person action platformer built with Unreal, with a few twists. You have a "dagger" (more of a grappling hook thing) that shoots and grapples. You can use that to grab onto orange crystals that move around, this is needed to traverse the various platformer obstacles. The graphics look good thanks to Unreal and quite a lot of effort went into polishing the visuals and creating a fairly decent looking aesthetic for the game. The controls can be a little imprecise but with practice you can work out the right feeling for the game, something necessary for any platformer. Once you get the swing of it, gameplay is fine. There's a welcome array of graphics tweaks, 4K support and customisable controls, so all the basic requirements for any PC game are met here. It's not a very long game, but it's free, and this is a notable example of indie/amateur development done right. "Actually a Game Company LLC" have set a solid example for other indie developers. Because the quality is reasonable here, the gameplay is engaging enough, and it's free this could be worth a download for 3D platformer/speedrunner fans.
Hey! I know the people who worked on this game and I know how hard they have worked on it. I think the main game mechanic is pretty fun. So many ways to jump and move through the environment! You certainly should give this game a try if you like new or different movement mechanics in a first person perspective game. Just see how many ways you can use the environment to your advantage =).
Disclaimer: I know the devs, and I know how much time was poured into this. I am not what you call an 'experienced gamer', but I really enjoyed this game. They give you the time to learn the controls and how to move around in the world before dropping you in the deep end. I am not well coordinated, but the controls feel balanced and maneuverable. The drones are cool enemies and it's very satisfying to kill them. I love the way the world looks, it definitely feels unearthly but beautiful. Knowing how much work, love, and exhaustion went into this, I am so impressed with the product. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to play something fun and accessible, but still deep.
