About
You and your crew are hired to participate in an experiment run by the Paragon Corporation. It sounds like a standard fast-food gig: grill burgers, fry sides, pour drinks, work the register, hit your quota, and keep the customers happy.
Every shift is a ticking clock – the kitchen always wins eventually. Once the simulation collapses, Asset Joy breaks containment and begins her hunt. The iconic mascot is back for blood – and you have only one chance to escape!
The game reacts to what you say on the mic. Speak the wrong word, and Asset Joy will hear you. Speak the right incantation, and the kitchen warps. Learn how to use incantations to your advantage, and what to never say aloud if you don’t want to anger the beast.
35+ modifiers ensure each run goes off the rails in a unique way. Rush Hour brings additional customers for a more profitable yet more chaotic shift. Profanity Policy punishes the team every time someone swears on the mic. Midmaxxing messes up the appliances' cooking temperatures.
Escape alive, and your earnings come with you. Spend them on boosters, sacrifice them to the ascension ritual to move the story forward, or gamble them on harder contracts for bigger payouts.
Happy's Humble Burger Cult (formerly Burgatory) is the next chapter in the Scythe Studios Universe, and a direct successor to Happy's Humble Burger Farm – peeling back another layer of the Paragon Corporation's reality-warping simulation program. Ready to go down the rabbit hole again?

Highly recommend, this is a challenging game! It's not a "cozy cooking sim", it's chaos, horror, sabotage, and just overall fun! The game has a learning curve! Thinking you can jump into it and play like Burger Farm is a huge mistake! NEWBIE TIP! Before you jump in the hole to ready up USE THE PASSIVE SWITCH. Run rounds and learn where all the ending tasks are. Familiarize your self with each restaurant. Then remove the passive mode and try it! I really enjoyed the game with friends! We tried it solo and with a full crew. It's CHAOS. Solo: It's hard, but they added a "passive" mode. Follow my tip here about using it to familiarize yourself with the location of the items and the end tasks before you try and take on the full version of the game. This one takes PRACTICE.

My personal issues with the release so far, exclusively for solo: This game let's you know that any solo player will endure a game that was designed, almost very exclusively, to be played in a group. It welcomes you, but doesn't accommodate you. With the addition of pacifist mode, it still feels like I'm not playing the whole experience. Why? Because it was designed to be played in a group. Even the gameplay trailer is a reaction farm. They invested all their points on that front alone and it shows. The game itself tells you so. Beyond that, if you call the complete cluster of trash around every single nook and cranny on the very first level, which serves as the welcoming mat for everybody, a 'stylish aesthetic' then I would say that is a problem. What do I mean by trash? Literal trash. Candles, robot heads, mannequins, screens everywhere, machine for different upgrades, mini-game machines, a literal hole serves as a waypoint to the burger joint, and many, way sweet Mary way more. Yes, everything stated before is just the lobby, the actual kitchen is way messier mainly because that's your work station, nothing is close enough to anything and nothing differentiates smoothly between one another. (For example, I spent days looking for cups. Cups. They are literally one inch away from the ordering machine. How did I miss it? I'm not gaslighting myself and say 'yeah, I'm dumb', no. They are not hiding, it's simply not distinct enough from everything else.) Like I did, you will spend time MEMORIZING the whole layout and still get lost eventually when orders pile up. Good luck memorizing recipes; because if you want to be skilled, that's what you have to do. Reading an order and making intuitively is not part of the menu. e.g. Instead of delivering instructions in a recognizable pattern, they put in front of you spices first, then ingredients to your right, meat behind you; in the recipe, you see toppings first and spices at the very bottom and meat somewhere in between. Since you have to READ because there's no visuals to guide you in a smooth way, you stare at the screen and memorize it before starting or do 3-4 toppings at a time. Good luck if you oversaw an ingredient (you will), because you have to start all over again. Not because you are bad, do not gaslight yourself, is because the game is a cluster of text you need to stare at for a long time. Everything is like this. Don't think is just the gameplay of receiving orders/cooking/delivery - it's everything. All is a clustered mess of trash piled together. Again, do not call it 'aesthetic'; a game can be messy, but flawlessly intuitive. This game as it is at time I'm writing this review, is anything but intuitive. After each shift, you have different tasks just like the first game. When in the first one was tedious because they were static, yet at least easily discoverable. Here is all that... except it's random. Which is better? None, in my opinion. For example: you have a task of checking thermostats, it's a click fest from 80~90 all the way down to 22; that's average 58 to 68 clicks per thermostat. There's 4-5 of them, I believe. That's 232-272 single clicks to complete this task. Carpal tunnel be damned. By the way, if you don't have pacifist mode on, a random organ-demon cow chases you. This is not a chasing a game, this shouldn't be an extraction game... still here we are. Why? Because this game was designed to farm reactions by groups on youtube. Not for you, solo player. Should you buy it? Yes. I wish to know if you share this opinion once you play it. I will recommend it. Just be very aware of what you just read and if you're okay with that, then cool! Also because is cheap. It won't be your worst purchase.
Le jeu est buggé de ouf. Beaucoup trop compliqué et les bugs cassent la partie aléatoirement. c'est remboursé direct.
Minuses: Needs polishing for shure. Bugs exist lol. Cat noices dont work for example Tutorial is bad, really bad - shows how soft everything is than ♥♥♥♥♥ on you HARD when you first start. Cant be cute Cow named "Happy", unless you get her costume after some grind this should be an unlockable for real cos characters (players) looks ugly lol, insane why we are not some morphed versions of salmon, chiken, pig or cow but i guess... Thats just my thing and you can ignore that... But if will be done would be highly apreciated! Even paid for in form of DLC obviously! Pluses: Actualy peak game that requires some skill to adapt, if not suffocating endgame this is easy best friend coop game here. Will def change my review when game will get polished and fixed as planning to get a copy for friend. DEVS RESPONDED SO Changed for positive because endgame was changed, need to play more to get to harder points to correctly form an opinion - but its now def a breather After playing it, im now can confirm endgame on level is now bareable and very easy, finally! Please, just continue with game and dont drop it, love it so far! Cat noices ae also was fixed and now working. So far so good!
I like it fun with friends the different maps with different menus keeps the game fresh
There is no way to disable your microphone, and even if you use push to talk, the game listens for 'her' name. You get an alert if it hears Happy, or Happens, or Happened. My friends and I did not know it was using our mic despite being on push to talk and NOT pushing our push to talk buttons. We were not using game chat at all. I will not be reinstalling until there is a fix for this or a way to ensure the game will not be listening for things when I am not anticipating it to be using my microphone. Edited a day or two later: Devs were super super receptive. They have promised a patch to enable a toggle mute. I enjoyed the game aside from the sudden mic spook. Love being able to yell at my friends to get their fat asses out of the way of my burger.
