Чувствуется вайб портала, но в своём оригинальном стиле. Интересный проект, советую к ознакомлению!
Fun game where you’re destroying a test dummy in various tests. You take on the role of an intern at a research center. You may relax if you think this is another game in which you will be turned into an unwilling test subject. In this game, you are the one who imposes punishment. Fortunately, you'll be dealing with test dummies who are capable of handling practically any situation. The story unfolds across multiple test trials. While the room remains consistent, new features and toys to play with are constantly added. You can have your morning coffee, read a note, listen to the radio while working, and search for hidden collectibles. You're not alone since your coworkers will cheer you on through the windows and you hear a voice instructing you. However, there’s a deeper mystery included when someone contacts you through a private channel. The objective of the game is to employ various traps and weapons to inflict damage on a test dummy. Your daily assignments might contain custom goals such as destroying a box or getting the dummy to a specific location, in addition to causing harm. Everything is done in first person, meaning you can only install traps in areas you can reach. There is no jumping, but you can climb on things. Build mode is pretty cool and works just as it should. All you have to do is select a trap, rotate it sometimes to modify the direction the dummy will fly, and set it down. Because the test dummy always spawns in the center of the room, you must begin construction from there. There are no restrictions because you can remove traps, tweak something, and restart the dummy as many times as you like. The only limitations are your starting budget (each trap costs money) and the type of traps you get to complete a task. This forces you into using less-than-ideal traps. Most puzzles already have several traps in place. Those can’t be removed, but they can be rotated to fit your needs. Physics engine can cause issues due to its randomness. Because the dummy flies all over the place, sometimes a perfect solution doesn’t always work. You might test a room five times and fail, but then you do it again and solve it because the dummy luckily lands on the right spot. Although you have a gun that can nudge a dummy towards a trap, it works on limited ammo. You will be able to use thirteen traps that can be modified. Upgrade points are obtained by completing specific achievements. There are many things to improve, like as damage and reload speed, but the most crucial is the ability to build traps on platforms. Unfortunately, the system does not allow you to upgrade anything. I'm still perplexed by the strange mechanism at work. I can, for example, upgrade the first trap numerous times but not the third. It makes the entire upgrade mechanic pointless when you're playing the story. This is not a problem when you play the sandbox mode. You get access to everything without any limitations. Although the story mode is short, it has two endings. The true ending is unlocked by finding a small cube in each stage. Because you can't go back to previous stages or repeat them, you'll have to finish the game and start again to find the missing cubes. Cubes can only be collected once, so they will not exist in future games. But you have no idea which stage still has a hidden cube because there are no visual clues. The game doesn’t have any major issues. Some of the achievements unlock a bit sooner or not at all, so that could be a problem for achievement hunters.
Not inherently bad, the story mode feels like you asked chat GPT to write some post-apocalyptic tale and the dialogue doesn't help, but that could also be in part translation issues if the devs aren't native English speakers. Hard/Normal changes are very minimal in the story progression, adding mostly new blockers you need to think on your feet to crack open (e.g., when you get springs for the first time you cannot go directly to the back wall without shooting a ball at the phased blocker in hard mode). Endings are also collectibles based, and you are likely to miss your ride for one ending as collectibles appear before notes about them are made. They are however easy to find as they seem to only be possible to pick up in the observation area with one or two exceptions. My primary complaint of the game is the physics, namely that it is wildly inconsistent. You can place a spring trap under the dummy and reload multiple times trying to get the same result twice - same goes for mines with much clearer problems as the ragdoll may never touch a mine in some loads. This is made worse by the game not loading quickly when accessing the level from the elevator, or when starting/stopping the simulation. If one of those two problems were amended, the other would be less of a pain in the ass without question as you would have to do less reloads over a bad start or your reloads would be quicker at least if it were optimized more cleanly, especially when looking at pre-placed assets in a level. As a saving grace, the puzzles of story mode allow you to tackle objectives across multiple simulations. You can solve for one objective, then sell everything back and solve for the next.
Happy lab is like physics and imagination met and decided to throw a real science party! Once, I found myself in this laboratory and became an intern, immediately feeling like the hero of a fantastic blockbuster. I had portal traps, a flamethrower, and I was shooting tennis balls, creating chaos wherever I could. I'd rate the game 10 out of 10 cubes of scientific fun!
Good meditative gameplay. if you want to relaxe after work — this is your game. Funny, easy, relaxing!
Игра просто великолепна, такого разнообразия с сандбоксом я не видел давно, поэтому не зря потратил на нее шекели
