提前说一声:R.I.P

Great game all around. spent almost 70 hours in the game so far. Allows you to put pictures and make puzzles out of it. Has a lot of nsfw content around it, which is great. But you can also do none nsfw stuff. I do think the copyright/nsfw thing restricts a little from having a more s#x#al profile but that's kind of expected by steam. One thing i think should be added is being able to add GIF's and make a puzzle out of it.
Good game!
*Happy Engine*, developed and published by ToolGame, is a puzzle experience that feels less like a traditional game and more like a lightweight creative platform built around simple mechanics. At its foundation, it offers the basic structure of a puzzle title, but instead of guiding players through a carefully designed sequence of challenges, it hands them a set of tools and leaves much of the experience up to their own initiative. This design choice gives it a certain flexibility, but also makes it highly dependent on what the player is willing to put into it. The central mechanic revolves around working with image-based puzzles. Players can interact with existing content or import their own images, turning them into customizable puzzle layouts. This gives the game an open-ended quality that sets it apart from more conventional entries in the genre. Rather than solving pre-defined problems, you are often shaping the experience yourself—deciding how complex or simple a puzzle should be, and experimenting with different arrangements. In theory, this creates endless possibilities, as the game is not limited by a fixed set of levels. In practice, however, it also means that the experience lacks a consistent sense of direction. Unlike traditional puzzle games that build momentum through structured progression, *Happy Engine* offers very little in the way of a guided path. There is no strong difficulty curve, no carefully paced introduction of mechanics, and no clear endpoint to work toward. Instead, the game leans heavily on its sandbox nature, encouraging players to explore, create, and experiment at their own pace. This can be appealing for those who enjoy tinkering with systems or designing their own challenges, but it can also feel unfocused for players who prefer a more curated experience. Without a clear framework, it’s easy to lose a sense of purpose after the initial novelty wears off. The reliance on user-generated content is both a strength and a weakness. On one hand, it allows for a wide variety of puzzles, limited only by the creativity of the community. On the other hand, it introduces inconsistency. The quality of puzzles can vary significantly, and without a filtering system that emphasizes well-designed content, players may encounter experiences that feel unpolished or lacking in challenge. This unevenness makes it difficult for the game to maintain a steady level of engagement, as the experience can shift dramatically from one puzzle to the next. Visually, *Happy Engine* keeps things simple and functional. The interface is designed to support its tools rather than to impress aesthetically, and much of the visual identity depends on the images used within puzzles. This means that the look of the game can change drastically depending on what content is being used, which adds variety but also prevents it from having a cohesive style. The audio design is similarly minimal, providing little more than a basic backdrop that doesn’t significantly enhance or detract from the experience. Engagement ultimately comes down to the player’s mindset. Those who enjoy creating their own content or experimenting with flexible systems may find satisfaction in the freedom the game provides. There is a certain appeal in being able to design and manipulate puzzles without restriction, especially for players who like to approach games as creative outlets. However, for those who are looking for structured challenges, meaningful progression, or a sense of accomplishment tied to overcoming well-designed obstacles, the experience can feel lacking. Without clear goals or evolving mechanics, it can be difficult to stay invested over time. In the end, *Happy Engine* is best understood as a hybrid between a puzzle game and a creative tool. It offers an interesting concept and a degree of flexibility that is uncommon in the genre, but it does so at the cost of focus and consistency. It doesn’t guide the player—it simply provides the means to explore and create. For a niche audience, that freedom can be its greatest strength. For others, it may feel like a framework without enough substance to stand on its own. Rating: 6/10
