Best Halo experience since Reach. Amazing story, amazing cutscenes, top notch multiplayer. What else is there to say? Play it!

(Realistically this is a more mixed review but ill overall put it negative ig) Unlike H4 & 5, Infinite is actually fun to play! Great core gameplay here and the grappleshot is a lot of fun to use. The return to the classic art style, tone and music is a breath of fresh air, and the game distancing itself from the awful narrative of H5 and retconning a lot of it is also totally welcome. Unfortunately the actual story this game tells is very underwhelming, with no compelling stakes or interesting villains. The linear missions are also incredibly generic, and lack variety and have almost no set pieces. The open world is fun to run around and vibe in, but i wouldve traded it all for a more traditional Halo experience with a more well rounded story and missions.

Quite an adventure, lots of excitement. Does better than the Xbox version with a low-Hz polling rate controller. Set difficulty no higher than Normal. Very cool. Liked the theme about impregnable suits of armor to the player's benefit.

This review is based on the CAMPAIGN ONLY. Campaign is always satisfying. Gameplay is top tier. Grapple shot is a banger of a new gameplay mechanic. and you can slide. All while looking great! Plays smoothly on my PC at max settings. I DID however reduce resolution scale to 50% while playing in 4k/MAX-settings just to have a high frame rate. With these settings I am able to maintain 144fps without any noticeable drops. Can't say the same for Halo: Campaign Evolved. I'm glad Infinite has good optimization.
