Recomiendo.
Halo 2 is my favorite game of all time, so I was incredibly excited for Halo Infinite. Unfortunately, the state this game released in was terrible. Very few maps, very few game modes, and an overall lack of content made for an extremely disappointing launch. To 343's credit, Halo Infinite is in a much better state today. There is significantly more content, and most of the problems surrounding the launch have been addressed. But even now, I still can't shake the feeling that it just doesn't have the same sauce or addictiveness that Halo 2 and Halo 3 had. I'm not entirely sure what the missing ingredient is. i think FPS games have simply evolved since the Halo 2/3 era. Arcade-style PvP shooters had their time in the sun, and since then we've seen much more dynamic and challenging multiplayer game modes emerge. I honestly think Halo Infinite missed a massive opportunity. Halo 2 pushed online multiplayer forward with ranked play, social playlists, clans, and custom games. Halo 3 pushed its casual multiplayer even further with Forge and Theater. Those games weren't just great Halo games. They introduced features and systems that helped push online multiplayer forward. Halo Infinite needed to do the same thing. Instead, it largely tried to compete in an FPS landscape that had already moved on without introducing something truly new. And, controversial as it might be, I think Halo needed a Battle Royale mode. Not just a generic Battle Royale slapped onto Halo, but something uniquely Halo that took the best parts of the genre and innovated on them. Halo has the perfect sandbox for a mode like that: vehicles, weapons, equipment, shields, map control, verticality, and massive encounters. I genuinely believe Halo Infinite could have used something like that to differentiate itself, push the franchise forward by innovating on the best ideas in modern FPS games, and potentially challenge games like Apex Legends etc for the top spot in the multiplayer FPS space. Instead, Halo Infinite chose not to innovate in the way Halo 2 and Halo 3 did. And that's ultimately what makes this game so disappointing to me. It's not that Halo Infinite is a bad game anymore. It's that it had the potential to be something much bigger, and it never found that next big idea. Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary had already given players a way to experience classic Halo. We didn't necessarily need another game trying to recreate the same formula. We needed Halo's next evolution. Halo 2 helped define what online console multiplayer could be. Halo 3 expanded on that with Forge and Theater. Halo Infinite had the opportunity to do something similar for the next generation of FPS multiplayer. Instead, it largely brought an old formula into a gaming landscape that had already evolved past it. That's the real tragedy of Halo Infinite to me. It didn't fail because classic Halo was bad. It failed because it never figured out what Halo should become next.
Singleplayer so-so. Multiplayer easy to just log in and play, fun as always.
Spent 2 hours trying to fix this so my game would launch. I tried everything I could find online and none of it resolved the issue. I like this game enough but cannot recommend in this current state
game used to be pretty good, and then an update broke the game where it wont even let me log into my xbox account anymore, just an infinite loop of "press enter to start" and "log in to your xbox account" while im actively looking at my xbox profile in the app on my second screen, still not fixed months later. ive tried every suggestion i can find on google, and now im done beating my head against the wall trying to get this busted ♥♥♥♥ to run. save your disk space.
The game worked for years not it won't let me log in. "Profile Error" please sign into your xbox live profile. My xbox works fine, the thing will not let me play on pc. The game and company are trash. Give Halo to someone else, this is beyond saving. Played since 2001, will not be back as long as 343i is making the game.
Waste of Money
Halo Campaign Evolve. A waste of money. For the price and option to buy a package did not deliver squat.
