IVE GOTTEN SOME GOOD CLIPS AND SOME BAD CLIPS AS MIKE! MY HONEST REVIEW!!- IVE DEVELOPED A LOVE & HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS GAME. WHEN THINGS ARENT BUGGED, IT IS A REALLY FUN AND TIME CONSUMING(IN A GOOD WAY) AND IT REALLY MAKES YOU WANT TO KEEP PLAYING. BUT MAN WHEN THE BUGS COME AROUND... IT GETS BAD... IVE GOT CLIPS OF ME GETTING STUCK IN SHAPE JUMP AND BEING PUT THRU THE FLOOR, STUCK IN A CLOSET, AND SOME MORE. THE GRABBING ANIMATION ITSELF ISNT BAD, ITS JUST THE DETECTION/HITBOX(DONT KNOW THE TERM IM NOT A DEV) CAN BE A REAL HIT OR A MISS! THERE ARE MOMENTS MY GRAB IS BLOCKED BY AN INVISIBLE OBJECT, OR JUST OVERALL SOMEHOW MISSES! IF ILLFONIC CAN GET THE BUGS FIXED , THEY ONCE AGAIN HAVE SOMETHING WITH PROMISE ON THEIR HANDS & I HOPE THEY DONT LET THIS FALL THRU THEIR HANDS! OVERALL SCORE- 8/10!

It's good. Is it flawed? Of course, what game isn't? I'm aware of the state of gaming and how developers pump out slop and money grabs but this feels different. The same people who bash on Dead By Daylight and their developers are now forming a human shield to defend it with their lives. From someone who enjoys DBD (with over 1k hours played) Stop comparing each game to one another. And that game has been out for 10 years, through all the controversies and patches that only break the game more, let that sink in just a bit. With that being said If you don't plan to purchase Halloween then just simply don't and stop bashing others for enjoying something you disagree with.
This game was poorly designed. We're not going to even get into the bugs, like things clipping, not registering, people in T-poses, etc. Subtitles don't match the script of what's said or caption background chatter while ignoring main narrative. "Tutorial" (story mode) is incomplete, doesn't teach you the full techniques, such as proper stalking or how to stop people. Also, he NPCs AI seems way too intuitive on where you're lurking/stalking from. Then you have the multiplayer, where you're able to rejoin... but only after a series of random "mini-games" with zero instructions, and that's just to build up the bar to GET A CHANCE to draw a card that lets you rejoin. I had high hopes for this game to be in the same style as Evil Dead or Texas Chainsaw, but instead it stinks of all the problems with Friday the 13th. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
This game has much potential and already has an enjoyable quality to it. It is a breath of fresh air symmetrical horror games. I can't wait to see where it goes from launch and with feature updates and patches. 1. It is not DBD - so don't compare it to it. 2. Ignore the comments of hate for those belong to the trolls of DBD aka content creators that bounce on Behavior's lap for daddy and their smooth lobed followers. This game is great potential and it would be great to see it succeed in the horror genre so we have other games to play other than DBD.
- Optimization is kinda crap. - Animations, cutscenes, and audio syncing are a bit sticky at best and need serious work - Some interactions are REALLY janky and a lot of the mechanics and balancing need serious patching. HOWEVER It's fun as ♥♥♥♥ to play, I'm gonna be honest I haven't even gotten into multiplayer yet; the almost 7 hours I have has just been spent trying to get all the challenges and achievements that I can in the 'Michael's Story' singleplayer mode. Also fun fact, it appears as though you can earn progression and unlock A LOT of stuff just by playing singleplayer so there's definitely replayablility and a lot to do. Idk if that's something people are saying is an issue but I certainly don't think so. Just playing as Michael against npc's is fun enough as is; I'm cautiously hopeful to see where this goes.
the game is fun and i love the story part (: yes there is some bugs but its already day 2 and they have already did a update this games gonna be great and they are on fixing the bugs(:
Coming from DBD and playing Michael as my main killer, this game really just isn't it. Too many issues, too expensive for what you get right now. Maps are too small, way to easy for civilians to arm themselves, takes way too long to build up any stalk for targets and I've literally been jumped and overpowered by civilians numerous times. Taking into account all the actual lure behind the Halloween story....how did the developers come to the conclusion that they should make civilians as strong as they are. This game should be a straight hardcore survival and escape play thru, not lets arm ourselves and gang rape Michael. So many bad things about this game and I could go on and on, honestly plenty of good could happen in the future but yet again this is just going to be another horror title that tries to make it on its own and fails and everyone will end up back on DBD...that's where I'm about to go. I would definitely not buy this game, its not worth $40 or the $60 for the "royal with cheese" extra skins BS. Save your money for something better, like maybe a double quarter pounder with cheese from your favorite fast food place. I requested a refund, I can only hope they will be kind enough to give me my money back after almost 4 hours of wasted time.
just buff michael a little and improve performance besides that its awesome.
Its hard to play michael in multiplayer but regardless of winning or not its still quite fun. The community isint that great but I like to put the community and the game apart especially in reviews. Feels like playing a weaker version of jason lol.
