Cool game, worth for the price.

Gym Camp Simulator offers a fantastic simulation experience where you can design the island from scratch to create your own sports camp. The base building mechanics in the game are very entertaining, and it's quite enjoyable to shape every corner of the island to your own taste. The training programs are very cleverly designed, adding depth to character development and camp management. The game has such a beautiful environment that you lose yourself in it. Combining strategy and creativity, this game promises hours of fun. If you love simulation and management games, Gym Camp Simulator should definitely be on your list.
I named my camp ObeCity.
Ok game completed in five or so hours. It is a good idea, nicely framed, but leave it six months as there are a few bugs and things that aren't yet functional. There is a lot of health guru history online which would help the devs make something quite special with this, but they haven;t yet read it. It definitely isn't a game that will offer you good health advice, so do not buy it for that. Early days.
Gym Camp Simulator, developed and published by For Fun Games, is a casual management simulation that places players in charge of building and operating a fitness-focused retreat on a tropical island. It combines elements of construction, resource management, and light life-simulation into a relaxed gameplay loop that prioritizes accessibility over complexity. While the premise is engaging and easy to understand, the overall experience reflects both the charm and limitations of a smaller-scale project. The gameplay begins with a modest camp and gradually expands as players unlock new facilities and services. Building placement is straightforward, allowing for quick customization of the camp layout, and each addition contributes directly to the camp’s functionality. Gyms, dormitories, kitchens, and wellness areas all play a role in shaping the daily routine of visitors, creating a sense of progression as the camp evolves from a simple setup into a more fully developed operation. This steady growth is one of the game’s more satisfying aspects, providing a clear sense of accomplishment as new options become available. Managing the needs of campers forms the core of the experience. Players are responsible for assigning activities, maintaining schedules, and ensuring that guests remain both productive and satisfied. This includes balancing workout intensity with rest and nutrition, as well as responding to individual needs. Staff management adds another layer, with trainers, chefs, and other employees contributing to the overall efficiency of the camp. These systems work together to create a functional management loop, though they tend to remain fairly simple, with limited long-term consequences for player decisions. The game leans toward a casual style of simulation, where systems are easy to grasp and outcomes are immediate. This makes it approachable for players who are new to the genre, as there is little need for deep strategic planning or complex optimization. However, this simplicity also limits the depth of the experience. As the camp grows, the underlying mechanics do not evolve significantly, and many tasks begin to feel repetitive. The progression, while steady, follows a predictable pattern, which can reduce the sense of discovery over time. The setting plays an important role in defining the game’s tone. The tropical island environment provides a bright and relaxing backdrop that complements the laid-back nature of the gameplay. The atmosphere is intentionally low-pressure, encouraging players to take their time and enjoy the process of building and managing their camp. This makes the game particularly well-suited for short, casual play sessions, where the focus is on gradual improvement rather than constant challenge. Visually, the game adopts a colorful but relatively simple style. The environments are pleasant and functional, but they lack the detail and variety needed to create a truly immersive world. Character models and animations are basic, serving their purpose without adding much personality. While the presentation is consistent, it does not stand out, and over time the limited visual diversity can make the experience feel somewhat repetitive. The pacing is generally smooth, with a steady flow of tasks and upgrades that keep players engaged. However, the lack of new mechanics or significant changes to the gameplay loop means that the experience can become routine during longer sessions. The game is at its best when played in shorter bursts, where its simplicity and relaxed tone can be fully appreciated without becoming monotonous. Technical aspects also reflect the game’s indie roots. While the core systems function as intended, there are occasional rough edges in areas such as interface design and performance. These issues are not severe enough to break the experience, but they do contribute to a sense that the game could benefit from further refinement and polish. Ultimately, Gym Camp Simulator is a game that delivers a clear and enjoyable concept but does not fully expand on its potential. It offers a straightforward management experience that is easy to pick up and play, with a setting that reinforces its relaxed approach. However, its limited depth and repetitive structure make it difficult to sustain long-term engagement. For players looking for a light, easygoing simulation with a unique theme, it provides a pleasant experience. For those seeking a more complex or deeply strategic management game, it may feel somewhat underdeveloped. Rating: 6/10
good management mechanics with an unusual exciting theme

Ce jeu est fantastique, si vous avez déjà eu envie de perdre du poids. Et bien sachez le c'est le meilleur moment pour le faire grace au coach ZANK. De la Z ISLAND !
Interesting to play as its a mix of simulation game and puzzle solving trap. At first it looks like you are supposed to be in charge of the gym, but instead your job is to build the facilities and then hire staff. The only real engagement you have with the gym part is to set up each camper's gym workout and meal plan. And the meal plan part only starts once you have achieved level 4 and built the dining hall. And I think that's where the game has flaws. The UI is quirky and counter-intuitive at times. Worse, when you register a camper you have to take their picture, but then you will need to exit their profile to get the game to continue, but to put together their gym workout and meal plans you have to go back into their profile. Worse, the gym workout pages will be set to whatever page you last viewed, which is likely to be the activities you want the camper to do last as you want them to warm up a bit before doing high risk good exp exercises. I also found that once I had a level 7 camp the campers suddenly needed a lot more exp in order to achieve their weight goals. Often as much as 50 exp in a day when a maximum risk gym program with 5 high exp tasks won't give more than 30-32 exp. You can gain a bit more with meals (maximum of 9 per day), but getting someone the required exp quickly becomes far more difficult than it had been. Its not game-breaking, but it was frustration creating as all my campers after I reached level 7 were constantly demanding refunds because they failed to achieve their goals. (and don't get me started on the fact that you can have a full camp and yet campers continue to show up and will score the camp 0/10 because you didn't admit them, despite the fact that you couldn't.) Its just a lot of little things that make the game UI far more complicated than it should be along with a game-play loop that was not easy to define and which seemed to constantly shift without clear warning. Its possible to work through it, but I would say this is definitely a "buyer beware" situation. Make sure you love this kind of simulation.
