Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 18 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gunslugs 2, developed by Orangepixel and published in partnership with HandyGames, is a fast-paced side-scrolling action shooter that embodies the chaotic charm of classic run-and-gun games while infusing them with a distinct sense of humor and modern indie flair. It follows the formula established by its predecessor but ramps everything up—more explosions, more enemies, and more unrelenting mayhem. The game proudly wears its retro pixel aesthetic on its sleeve, offering an experience that feels like a love letter to 8-bit and 16-bit arcade shooters, yet it manages to carve out its own identity through procedural elements, fluid gameplay, and an intentionally exaggerated style that borders on parody. From the moment you start blasting through the first mission, it becomes clear that Gunslugs 2 is less about precision and more about the unfiltered joy of controlled chaos. The narrative is thin but fittingly absurd. The evil Black Duck Army has returned, this time wielding alien technology and threatening the world once again, and it’s up to the Gunslugs squad to stop them. The story unfolds through short, humorous exchanges and background snippets rather than detailed cutscenes, keeping the focus firmly on action. Missions are structured around a simple but satisfying loop: charge into enemy territory, fight through hordes of soldiers and mechanical beasts, infiltrate communication towers, plant explosives, and escape before the structure collapses. Each level feels like an adrenaline rush condensed into a few minutes of intense gunfire and explosions, maintaining the series’ signature rhythm of constant forward momentum. Gameplay is where Gunslugs 2 thrives. The controls are responsive, allowing for quick jumps, rolls, and shooting in multiple directions, giving players the ability to weave through bullets while dishing out destruction. The gunplay itself is pure arcade fun—fast, chaotic, and flashy. The weapons, ranging from pistols and shotguns to flamethrowers and rocket launchers, all have punchy feedback, making combat feel satisfying despite its simplicity. The addition of procedurally generated elements ensures that no two runs play out exactly the same, adding a touch of unpredictability to each mission. This, combined with the option to unlock different characters with unique abilities, helps to extend replay value beyond the relatively short campaign. One of the standout aspects of Gunslugs 2 is how it handles its pacing. The game rarely gives you a moment to breathe—enemies pour in from every direction, explosions fill the screen, and environmental hazards keep you on edge. It’s an assault on the senses that intentionally mimics the frenetic energy of old-school arcade cabinets. Each world introduces new enemy types and hazards, from alien bases to futuristic war zones, ensuring that the player is constantly adapting to new challenges. The tower infiltration mechanic adds variety, as players must briefly shift from outdoor chaos to more confined indoor sequences where timing and awareness are key. These moments of structural change, while brief, help break up the otherwise relentless flow of combat. Visually, the game is both charming and overwhelming. The pixel art is crisp and colorful, with excellent use of explosions, particle effects, and background animation that give each stage a sense of life despite its small scale. The environments shift from rain-soaked cities to alien landscapes, each packed with detail and a deliberate sense of destruction. However, this visual intensity can sometimes work against the player—during heavy combat, bullets, debris, and enemies can blend together, making it easy to lose track of what’s happening. This sensory overload is part of the game’s identity, though it can occasionally turn frustration into chaos. The soundtrack, on the other hand, perfectly complements the action, delivering pulsing retro beats and high-energy tracks that evoke classic run-and-gun soundscapes from the early console era. Despite its strengths, Gunslugs 2 is not without flaws. The repetitive nature of its gameplay loop becomes evident after several hours, as the structure of “destroy towers and move on” doesn’t change much throughout the campaign. While the procedural generation keeps things fresh to a degree, the variety in objectives and enemy behavior is limited. Some players might also find the difficulty spikes uneven, with sudden surges in enemy density or tricky boss encounters that punish the slightest mistake. The visual clutter, while stylistically deliberate, can exacerbate this issue by making dodging projectiles feel imprecise in later levels. Still, these frustrations are balanced by the sheer satisfaction of clearing a screen full of enemies with a well-timed barrage of explosives. There’s an undeniable charm to Gunslugs 2 that transcends its simplicity. Its humor, speed, and unapologetic excess make it feel like a lost relic of a more reckless gaming era—one where fun mattered more than finesse. It’s the kind of game that doesn’t pretend to be deep or cinematic; instead, it embraces being loud, chaotic, and relentlessly entertaining. For players seeking something casual yet challenging, with a nostalgic nod to the pixelated shooters of the past, Gunslugs 2 delivers a steady stream of action that’s hard to put down. It’s not a perfect game, but it knows exactly what it wants to be—a wild, explosive tribute to the art of running, gunning, and blowing everything to bits. Rating: 6/10

Hold the firebutton and run. Thats all. ...If you get this game to run without crashing ...or at all.
