About
Guinea Pig Temple is a single player open world search and rescue game. You are the hero guinea pig - run, jump, and popcorn (a jump of joy so happy it resembles a kernel of popcorn popping!) while you search for friends and food!

Customize your fur color with endless choices of color combinations, and then you're ready to rescue! Guinea pig friends can be found in random locations on Guinea Pig Island, where the Guinea Pig Temple is built. Find friends and bring them to the top of the temple to rest as you search for more.

As day breaks and night falls, you search for your friends - just let out a squeak to help find where they are located!

Find and eat different types of food across the island. There are 4 special different types of food which unlock correlating doors at the top of the temple - when you reach the top floor, it leads to the temple's portal to paradise (Pigadise)! When you've entered the portal, it's time to celebrate!

Let me first say that there are 3 fatal flaws in this game and one major bug to address before I can suggest buying this game 1) There is currently NO WAY to import your own guinea pigs into the game. This is a game design flaw as well as a technology flaw. Do you think my guinea pigs (Whiskey and Tango) wanna explore a crystal Cave? Well they cant. What is this, the 1920s? Unacceptable. 2) Although the creators of this game should be praised for their realistic sounds, they ENTIRELY FORGOT to put in the sound effect of a guinea pig crunchin on some apple. I mean, you make a game about guinea pigs, and you forgot one of the most important parts? For Shame. 3) There are currently no alternate breeds of guinea pig represented. Abyssinian? English Crested? Sheltie? Come on guys, even in Skyrim picking your race is your first option. And now we come to the bug. Not game breaking but aggravating. On the Lava Hills level, 3rd boss, the only way to defeat "Alacridia, the Dominator" is to spam your left rear leg sweep because every other attack fails to connect due to his spectral shield. This wouldn't be a problem, but his immunity to status effects means the shield never comes down. Unless you MEAN for a boss fight to take 38 minutes minimum, this has to be a bug of some sort. For those reasons, I cannot in good faith encourage buying this game at the full Triple-A game price of 79.99. Wait for at LEAST a 5% off sale or until these bugs are fixed.
I think I was amused by this game way more than I should have been. I giggled at a few of the names. For a free game, this was very relaxing a lot of fun. Only downside is the RNG with names if going for achievements, but it will keep me playing until I can complete it.
spent my wheek-end playing this game, its basically hide-and-squeak with guinea pigs. keep calm and wheek on. what did the guinea pig say to the other guinea pig at dinner? LETTUCE EAT!
Guinea Pig Temple has lowered my cortisol, raised my motivation, and inspired me to do great things, all while just collecting little piggies and squeaking around
Bravo.
life changing experience
Am I missing something? The gameplay involves you running around squeaking and looking for guinea pigs. They aren't hidden in any interesting ways, they just sorta roam around. The foods were easy to find as well. At the end you get a cutscene and that's about it. There's nothing really much to this at all. It was definitely not for me. But given the amount of positive reviews, maybe other people will like it more than me!
