Fun and relaxing
I would like to say that Grocery Store Tycoon is a extremely fun game. I played it for around 15 hours and I have to say, even with the bugs it has brought me joy. The only thing I would suggest for the game is to expand the uses for the order tablet.
Easily one of my favorite shop-keeping/management games.
Not your typical "store simulator". This has set the bar much higher for new simulator devs. This game will satisfy multiple different styles of management. Great Job Spyder Lab Gaming!
I didn’t expect to get this hooked on Grocery Store Tycoon since there are a trillion grocery store games, but here we are. I’ve played for hours… and I can still come back and easily lose a whole evening to it. It’s one of those really calm, low-pressure grocery games that just feels good to play. I like the mechanic feel of the game. You’re stocking shelves, organizing your store, hiring workers, unlocking new items, and slowly expanding but it never feels stressful or overwhelming. I like not dealing with money in the game, the sounds, and feel of the items over the scanner is smooth. It’s actually kind of therapeutic. The gameplay loop is simple, but that’s what makes it so addictive. I also like that you can play at your own pace. Whether you want to grind and optimize everything or just chill and casually run your store with little workers, it works either way. I’d definitely recommend it if you like tycoon or simulation games. It’s simple, cozy, and very addictive.
Oh. My. Check-Out. Gods. I have played many, many, many Store Simulation games, including a lot of Grocery Store ones, and this is in my top 3. Some due to the dev being involved in our requests, bugs, etc. Some due to gameplay. Some due to the NPCs. This is the only Grocery Store of my games, that utilizes a 3-part storage; room temp, cold, and freezer, and also has food that spoils if left on the floor of the store. Also the only store that has NPCs NOT like all other Simulation games. You have cashiers, stockers, managers, even protein workers (meat & seafood department), to help you out and be successful...sometimes they call out, and that's okay. That happens in real life. You also have to go home and rest, you can't be at your job 24/7!! You can purchase upgrades with XP points in your management tool (extra register, cart racks, expansion, etc. Game runs smooth on my PC, you can manage just about everything in the store, and even get some coffee across the street to get some energy! In other words, just get the game!
i had first played the demo when it came out. I was really intrigued with what the game already offered, primarily i liked the combination of first person and top down play style. It's unique and makes things easier to navigate for some things. I played a decent amount of hours once i bought it and I'm still enjoying the game, and the new features they had released since I played the demo. There are a few bugs i've been getting over time but nothing game breaking, saving and reloading the game fixed the issue thankfully.
I downloaded the demo on a whim and liked it so much that I ended up buying the full game. Love the cartoon art style, which is charming and clean making the gameplay feel welcoming. What I love most is the balance. The tasks feel simple but keeps you going toward that ultimate goal to make enough money to expand your store. Plus, being able to swap between different roles as the owner, such as being a cashier to stalking shelves, keeps things from getting repetitive. If you are a fan of store sims, I would highly recommend this game!
