About
Welcome to Eldor’Idle! It’s a sleepy RPG town like any other. You’ve come here to make your fortune… no matter the cost.
Break into houses. Smash pots for coins. Hire gnomes to smash more pots. Break into more houses. Hire more gnomes. Invest your coins, automate your labour, grow your profits, sacrifice your employees to the demonic forces of hell, then reset the loop and do it all again.
You can explore the many attractions of Eldor’Idle, beyond the rubes sitting around waiting to be robbed:
The Mine: Dig deep and discover a secret!
Dungeon: Battle the boss and win rewards!
Wizard’s Tower: Brew up a potent upgrade!
Cemetery: Make deals with a ghost!
Greedy Greedy Gnomes is a satirical clicker-idle RPG where greed is good, might is right, and the end ALWAYS justifies the means.

Good assets are wasted on egregiously boring mechanics in a lifeless world.
Overall, not my favorite game. But it's alright I guess. I'd rate this one a 5/10. It's a quirky game where you head to a remote island village in the hopes of getting rich quick. Which you do by mining gold ore - but that's too slow so you give up on that idea and decide to go around town smashing everyone's pots and stealing the money they had hidden in them. But then THAT gets too slow, too. So you hire some angry gnomes to smash the pots for you. But then THAT is also TOO SLOW. So you go around the village shops and buy some upgrades to make it easier to break the pots, find more money in each pot, and hire more gnomes. And then you make a deal with a demon. There are a few endings depending how/when you choose to end the story. Your goal is to make $1 BILLION in gold coins, then ride the boat back to civilization. But you can stay longer if you want to, unlock more secrets of the island, or just make more money. Anyway, enough about the story. Technical review time! The graphics are basically SNES-retro style. The music and sound effects are there, but they do get annoying after a while. But the game works. I didn't notice any awful bugs or glitches while I played. You can beat it in a couple of hours, but to get ALL the endings will take probably 15-20 hours.

I should have listened to the bad reviews and avoided this game. Played it on Itch last year, had fun. Played the demo, had fun. But the full release, just so meh. The prestige mechanic is what really gets me, because even at the endgame I only get enough prestige points for like a fifth of the skill tree. But, most egregiously, every time you prestige you've got to revisit all the previous places you've unlocked and talk through the same dialogues again each time. And there's no buy-all button, or any way to speed up the early/mid-game after you prestige, so you end up spending like 20-30 minutes each prestige just getting back to where you were. It's honestly so annoying, combined with the base game mechanics not getting any more interesting, just seeing the number tick ever so slightly up every 30-60 minutes, it's so boring. Don't get me started on the mining minigame, which plain sucked and took like an hour, with the most paltry reward the game could give you... It's just sooooo frustrating, this game could be a lot better and it's let down by an abysmally slow pace that shouldn't be the case for an ostensibly active incremental game
