I absolutely love this app! Visiting the great works of art in museums can be a pain in the ass.... Expensive tickets and massive waiting lines to get in (Still having PTSD from Florence) make it a not so fun experience. Being able to admire these amazing paintings from allover the world and from all these different eras from the confort of my own home is simply amazing. I bought the DLC to support the dev. The idea of the audio files with the info on the painting is great. It would be even better if the voice was pleasant to listen to instead of this robot voice. Also more background on the painting would be a very welcome addition , Also the classic music choices and the freedom to adjust the gallery styles are great! I spent about 45 minute admiring art while enjoying some Wagner. Top! :D
great idea and very immersive when you're standing in front of one of the paintings but the controls are not great. for starters, the pointers are horrible black lines going in the wrong direction and viewing the hand menus / palettes is very awkward. if navigating was more enjoyable I could have stayed in the galleries for hours.

This app is incredible! There is no better art app than this one, and with the new audio descriptions of each painting, it is even better! I have now switched over to a Quest 3, and I am really, really hoping that the developer might consider porting it over as a native Quest 3 app.
The "Great Paintings VR" should be labeled "Worlds Great Paintings, seen as never before (on a VR computer)". Having had a few K hours using VR products, games, apps, etc., I've seen allot, however, I've never seen anything like this. I can see the grains in the old canvas's from the 1400's, the colors pop as I've never seen in VR before in addition to having a large number of settings to improve on the great as if that were not enough. etc. I could go on but I won't, To maximize the enjoyment, IT'S FREE !!! PS: I'm using a Window's 11Pro PC with an I7 11700 processor, 32 GB 4000 MHZ DDR4 ram with a 12GB Nvidia RTX 3060 as well with no overclocking, anywhere.
Great way to immerse yourself in history art and music. Using this app made me feel great.
Before I played Great Paintings VR, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Highly recommend! I've tried a few VR art museum apps and this is the best so far. The music is loud but that's easy to turn down or off, walls and frames are kind of ugly but can be adjusted - but it's pretty easy to navigate, has seated and standing viewing heights available, a decent selection of classical and baroque music, and ~most importantly~ a huge and superb selection of paintings to view ranging from the early Renaissance to mid 20th century. Have not tried the paid game yet, but just might. Seems like a good way to support the work that went into building this.
Bof bof ça pourrait être plus simple à utiliser et la vue tremble à chaque changement de peinture... Avoir mal aux yeux sur des images fixes c'est un peu abusé.
