Not many games attempt to fit into those "Painting" domination games, and with the somewhat recent release of Splatoon, it'd be a daring task to try to find another innovation of this obscure genre. However, GoRSD exceeds this goal with flying colors. This action packed puzzle has gotten me at the edge of my seat with its extremely intense gameplay and proves to be an excellent challenge for its players. When you finally finish that level or boss map, its soothing soundtrack and beautiful pixelated environments acts as a nice contrast for you to regain your footing and trek it to the next course. Multiplayer begins in absolute chaos, yet settles once the easy to learn mechanics are mastered by you and your peers. A few fixes could be done, but since this is a new release, there is plenty of time for polish. All in all, GoRSD has been an amazing purchase and I can't wait for my next multiplayer matchup.
This game is awesome. Welcome to GORSD. Don't be a worm. Don't bring shame upon yourself.
The Absolute Worsd
The Gist: Born from a "womb eye," you're a little octopus creature exploring a temple and participating in painting battles to learn your origin and purpose. The Good - The story is kinda interesting. Kinda. - The atmosphere and art direction is cool. The Bad - The game is UNBEARABLY difficult. Virtually all of the stages are brutal slogs full of cheap shots and reload times longer than the Godfather trilogy. - The controls are ass. You could probably get better results using your controller as a straw to snort angle dust while the game is running than actually trying to play it. - If you die too much, which is something that will most definitely happen within less than one minute of first opening the game, you'll be locked into choosing the easy mode every time you lose a stage from then on. - The music could've been good, but being forced to listen to the same few tracks over and over again makes me yearn for the sound of somebody writing the Odyssey in Japanese on a chalkboard with a rusty fork. - Sometimes, the game doesn't even launch when you hit the play button on Steam, forcing you to browse the game's local files to launch the executable from the installed folder. - Even the DLC sucks. Pro Tip: If a friend gifts you this chunk of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on Steam, reject their gift, block them, report them to Valve for harassment, and, if you know them in meat space, cut them out of your life.
A playable fever-dream. This game has a truly distinctive style and will appeal to anyone who loves a good challenge!
GORSD is a difficult top down shooter / strategy game with some strange characters in it! We explore this surreal world and play different mini games in order to explore the area. This one's a trip! Please see my video to experience a bit of this art for yourself https://youtu.be/glhR0gWv5Zo Thank you
I really like the game. The farther you get into the game the quicker you have to think and the soundtrack is really good! Great if you want a fast-paced puzzle game
I can confirm that from the very beginning there is narrative and weirdness in this game that makes you want to play more and more. I would say that those mini dialogues and character design alone is worth the purchase!!! Now there is a QIX-like gameplay element as well, and Its important to mention that if you play with Keyboard and Mouse u will play as a worm - the game is brutally unforgiving to those without a gamepad but it lets u accept your miserable form and become a little tentacle and continue with a more relaxed pace, in a way this is perhaps also a social commentary on those with less ambitions in life.
.
Gorsd is a very fast paced game that had me hooked from start to finish! It never slowed down and i felt my reflexes getting better and better with every mistake. It's deffenetly a game that will punish you if you fail, yet when you succeed you feel very satisfied. And with the inclusion of difficulty changers it makes it playable for everyone. I strongly recommend this game as it has an AMAZING soundtrack, stunning visuals, and an interesting story/world that im interested in learning more about. Defentely worth the price! give it a try
