Taking the beat is your goal. Stand on the pad, match the rhythm, and rack up points - but staying alive is half the battle. The dance pad has new power-ups every round, letting you launch missiles, bend time, or laser down rivals in unpredictable musical mayhem.

Join into a private lobby with friends or venture into public parties for worldwide fun! Voice chat keeps the energy loud and chaotic as you fight, fling bananas, and battle for the beat. Modes include: Free-For-All, Teams, Infected, Payload, Banana Grab, Ape Arsenal.

Battle across wild, thematic arenas—pirate coves, desert mesas, radiated towns, space stations clubs, and more. Every stage adds its own surprises, hazards, and unique strategies.

Played this with a group of FPS friends who refuse to do tutorials—and honestly, this game is PERFECT for that. Jump in, figure things out as you go, and suddenly you’re screaming because someone discovered a broken weapon.
Record Laser is OP.
Main mode is chaotic fun—fight for the spotlight, shove others out, spam abilities. Simple, but never boring.
The fart ability being both poison AND knockback is peak design.
Dance mechanics are easy to pick up (feels a bit like Beatmania), so no one gets left behind. Zombie mode though? Survivors are STRUGGLING. We barely lasted 2 minutes before getting wiped and converted. Overall: chaotic, easy to learn, and really fun with friends. Great party game.
Monkey see monkey do
Fun little part game, ngl. Solid 4/5 paws from me folks, and I'll tell you why. The GOOD *I love the characters and the customization. Fun things in there to use and unlock. Love unlockables. *The music is a plus. And I like that you can choose the soundtrack of your rounds. Nifty little feature. *Solid modes, lots of fun. And thankfully, I can turn off the dancepad part (just not my bag, baby.) *The various voice intros to each of the maps are map specific, which I really enjoy. *Enjoyable combat items to use, good selection. The NOT-SO-GOOD *I wish there was an explanation for the various modes. Some we were able to figure out easy enough but some, like payload, were a little confusing, especially if you've been playing sans dance pad... *I feel like a little more variety in weapons would go a long way. *Sometimes it seems the jump pads just launch you into nothingness... not cool bro. All in all though, a fun game to stream, great for a community to play, and it was certainly entertaining. Recommend for sure!
Genuinely goated game. Would pay more for it if I could 10/10
Absolutely love this game!! Such a unique mashup of games and the Monkey theme is perfect. So many awesome creative weapons with such different play styles. I hope down the line they could add a beginner tutorial with a small play through of each weapon to understand the basics, I did find it a bit hard to get started. But once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed the game. 10/10 must play
Jogo muito divertido pra jogar com os amigos, muito melhor do que eu esperava!
Go monke go fun The gameplay is divided between team match, death match and king of hill Its actually fun when you have friend to play, In game weapon variety is good. But some stage isnt optimized like nuclear stage and mansion stage, is lagging for me, but other else is alright, like threnches, castle and skycrapper. The musics is really good, voice acting intro is really nice, but rhythm segmen need more feedback when able to hit or not, and strangely i have difficulty when hitting long note, and single note on another simultaneusly. Lasty Overall, is good when have friend, but need more optimization.
I realized that my friends are actually monkeys
Gorilla Showdown I don't normally play PVP games. I played this game with a couple of friends. Game was not bad. Pros in my opinion Not bad with character customization Can pick between 6 characters Having the options of 5 Skills to pick from! (Best one is the can of farts) Graphics are pretty decent At release you get 6 game modes. (Payloads was a pretty good one!) Infected is second best! You get 8 different maps (Day or Night options) You get 9 different weapons like throwing a banana! (Never knew how much it hurt being hit by a banana) Cons in my opinion Dance mode was a little too fast for me to process it so wasn't much fun on my end Not enough bananas.
Gorilla Showdown is a chaotic and highly energetic multiplayer arena game that mixes rhythm mechanics, arcade shooting, exaggerated physics, and objective-focused gameplay into an experience that feels both ridiculous and surprisingly addictive. Developed and published by Sloth King, the game throws players into colorful arenas where the objective is not simply eliminating opponents, but controlling rhythm-sensitive zones while surviving constant explosions, knockbacks, and frantic close-quarters combat. The result is a party-style shooter built around unpredictability, fast reactions, and nonstop multiplayer chaos. What immediately makes Gorilla Showdown stand out is its unusual combination of rhythm gameplay and arena combat. Matches revolve around players fighting for control of dance pads and music-driven objectives positioned throughout the arena. Instead of remaining stationary and defensive, players are constantly forced into aggressive confrontations as they attempt to maintain control while enemies try to launch them away using weapons, explosives, and environmental hazards. This creates a much more dynamic style of multiplayer gameplay compared to traditional deathmatch-focused shooters. The pacing is one of the game’s strongest qualities. Matches move extremely quickly, with very little downtime between encounters. Players bounce around arenas, get knocked across platforms, scramble back toward objectives, and constantly reposition during chaotic firefights. Momentum shifts rapidly during matches, ensuring that no single player remains dominant for too long. This constant movement helps maintain excitement and keeps the gameplay feeling unpredictable from start to finish. The rhythm mechanics add more depth than expected. Players are encouraged to remain synchronized with the beat while fighting for control of objectives, forcing them to divide attention between combat awareness and musical timing. Although the rhythm system remains accessible enough for casual players to understand quickly, it still introduces an extra layer of tension during already chaotic battles. The mechanic gives the game a unique identity and prevents it from feeling like just another indie arena shooter. Movement mechanics also contribute heavily to the overall enjoyment. Gorilla Showdown embraces exaggerated arcade-style physics that make traversal intentionally wild and unpredictable. Characters fly through the air from explosions, bounce around tight arenas, and constantly fight against knockback effects during crowded firefights. This exaggerated movement system creates plenty of chaotic and humorous moments that fit perfectly with the game’s playful atmosphere. The arena design is another major highlight. Different maps feature distinct layouts, hazards, and platforming opportunities that encourage players to constantly adapt their strategies. Some arenas focus on vertical movement and aerial combat, while others force players into tighter spaces where fights become immediate and frantic. Environmental variety helps matches remain entertaining during longer play sessions because players are regularly forced to rethink positioning and movement. Visually, Gorilla Showdown embraces a colorful cartoon-inspired presentation that perfectly complements its absurd gameplay style. Bright arenas, exaggerated animations, expressive gorilla characters, and flashy effects all contribute to a playful atmosphere that never takes itself too seriously. Even during chaotic combat sequences filled with explosions and projectiles, the game generally remains visually readable enough for players to follow the action clearly. The soundtrack plays an especially important role because music directly affects the flow of gameplay. Energetic electronic tracks constantly reinforce the rhythm mechanics while also supporting the frantic pacing of combat. Sound effects tied to weapons, movement, and objective control provide satisfying feedback that helps every encounter feel impactful and responsive. The combination of upbeat music and arcade-style audio design gives the game a strong party-game personality. Another positive aspect is the game’s accessibility. The core mechanics are easy to understand almost immediately, making Gorilla Showdown approachable even for players unfamiliar with competitive shooters. The main objective of controlling rhythm zones while fighting opponents is simple enough for casual groups to enjoy quickly, yet the combination of movement, timing, and environmental chaos still provides enough complexity to remain entertaining over time. The multiplayer focus naturally creates strong replay value as well. Since matches depend heavily on player interaction and chaotic physics, no two rounds ever unfold exactly the same way. Different player behaviors, unpredictable knockback situations, and rapidly changing objective control constantly create memorable moments that keep the gameplay fresh. The game feels especially enjoyable when played with friends willing to embrace its intentionally chaotic design. Customization and progression systems remain relatively lightweight compared to larger online shooters, but this simplicity also helps the game maintain its fast arcade identity. Gorilla Showdown clearly prioritizes immediate fun and quick multiplayer sessions over long progression grinds or complicated unlock systems. Players can jump into matches quickly without spending excessive time navigating menus or managing large upgrade trees. However, the game is not without weaknesses. One of the biggest limitations is long-term gameplay variety. While the core concept remains entertaining, players looking for extensive progression systems or multiple gameplay modes may eventually find the overall experience somewhat repetitive after extended sessions. Much of the gameplay still revolves around controlling objectives and surviving chaotic firefights across a limited structure. Balancing can also occasionally feel inconsistent. Physics-heavy multiplayer games naturally create moments where pure chaos overtakes strategy, and some matches may feel more dependent on unpredictable situations than actual skill. Players searching for highly competitive or tightly balanced shooter gameplay may find the intentionally chaotic nature frustrating at times. The game’s strong focus on multiplayer interaction may also reduce its appeal for solo players. Gorilla Showdown clearly functions best as a social experience where players can enjoy the unpredictability and humor together. Although online play helps maintain activity, the game reaches its full potential when played with friends who are willing to embrace the ridiculousness of the gameplay. Despite these shortcomings, Gorilla Showdown succeeds remarkably well at delivering a creative and entertaining multiplayer experience built around rhythm, movement, and arcade-style chaos. Its combination of music-driven objectives, exaggerated physics, colorful presentation, and nonstop pacing creates a game that feels genuinely distinct within the indie multiplayer scene. For fans of party shooters, physics-heavy multiplayer games, rhythm-based mechanics, and fast-paced arena combat, Gorilla Showdown offers a highly enjoyable experience filled with unpredictability, humor, and chaotic fun. Its creative mix of rhythm gameplay and competitive shooting makes it one of the more unusual and memorable indie multiplayer games currently available. Rating: 8/10
