Gore Storm

A game that did a bit more than i thought, but i dont think ill play much more than the 14 hours i put into it. At first glance, its Starship Troopers Outpost 29 vibes. But as you progress in the game you get some units you can put on the map, and other game modes are unlocked, with upgrades that you can get. 4 types of units, 4 types of turrets, 3 types of traps and bunch of weapons. Apart from the base map, there is zombie mode and open map mode (survivor style). Zombie mode changes the gameplay a bit, you still have to guard the "base" but you also need to run around the map to find papers as you are being invaded, kinda fun, and breaks off the monotony. Same with the survivor map, if you played Phobia II, Phobia III, Crimsonland or Vampire Survivors you know exactly what this is, not much else to say about that. My enjoyment score is about 78% I think with more powerups as you level would have been great, maybe level a bit faster, more... yeah just more, the gameplay is solid, so just more is needed, more of everything.

Bought this last night for something new and since it was so inexpensive. Boy have my expectations been way overdone. I love tower defense type games and this combines that with a retro shooter. Difficult and frustrating enough to stay interesting while allowing for quick enough progression to better gear/abilities so that it stays fun. If I had paid 10x what I did for it I'd still feel like it was worth it. Give it a try if you like this sort of game

So far from what I've seen it's been a fun game and you will definitely get your money's worth out of it. Interested to see what other updates the game gets

Fun little game with enough unlocks, variation, and modes to enjoyably kill a few hours. Def worth $3.
