Reviews
An engaging adventure with a nice fantasy atmosphere, clear gameplay, and a solid balance between exploration and combat.
Dungeons and Goblins completely baits you with a decent idea but turns out to be a massive letdown. The visuals are straight-up AI slop that just awkwardly morphs from side to side. There is zero passion or actual art here; it feels incredibly cheap and looks exactly like those trashy mobile game ads you see everywhere. The gameplay loop is mind-numbingly boring. Forget about getting gud, having real skill, or cooking up wild spell synergies, because this whole thing is pure RNG. The game constantly throws up massive stat-checks to artificially gatekeep your progress. You don't wipe because you played bad; you get wrecked because your numbers are just too low. This forces you into an insane grindfest just to stand a chance. The balance is entirely busted, too, with some early mobs straight-up two-shotting you before you can even react. There is zero story to care about, and the whole run is super short anyway. But the wildest part is the crazy price tag. The base game and the DLC combined are not even worth €5, yet the asking price is way out of line. On top of that, the overwhelmingly high rating feels completely disconnected from the actual state of the game, which is super sketchy. Bottom line, this is a lazy, overpriced cash grab.
