«Glow Ball - Not A Billiard Puzzle Game»
Trash game
Glow Ball is a simple physics puzzle game where you control a bouncing ball and hop around collecting Pac Man power pellets and work out how to exit the level. While this looks like and has a lot of the same qualities as a Unity asset flip, it does seem like a genuine attempt to make a video game. Unfortunately it's not a great attempt. The gameplay is the killer. The controls are super floaty. It seems like maybe they just wanted to make the ball move when it bounces on the ground, or otherwise they just did a really bad job of it. Moving the ball is an uncertain chore as you're not sure if it registered your keypress or not. Otherwise, thanks to Unity, the game does display properly in 4K, full screen, but the graphics are really minimalist and lacklustre. $5.95 is way too much to ask for such a mediocre game.
sürekli crash yiyor oyun açılmadı
Glow Ball - Not A Billiard Puzzle Game is a compact 3D puzzle-platformer that takes a very simple concept and builds its challenges around movement, momentum, and careful navigation. Developed and published by WTFOMGames, it puts players in control of a glowing ball that has grown tired of endlessly bouncing around platforms and dreams of becoming a real billiard ball. The premise is deliberately silly, but it gives some personality to an otherwise abstract puzzle experience and provides a lighthearted reason for progressing through its collection of stages. The basic goal is to collect all of the coins in each level and then reach the exit. That sounds straightforward, but the continuously bouncing protagonist changes how players approach even relatively simple environments. Instead of moving like a conventional platforming character, the ball requires players to account for momentum, direction, positioning, and the layout of nearby surfaces. Much of the challenge comes from looking at the environment, determining a safe route between platforms, and then successfully executing that route without falling or touching something dangerous. Different platform properties introduce additional complications. Some surfaces behave normally, while others can be destroyed or represent immediate hazards. As a result, levels are not simply exercises in moving from one coin to another. Players need to observe the environment and consider the order in which certain areas should be approached. A route that initially looks convenient can become a trap, while an awkward-looking path may actually be the safest solution. This gives the game a genuine spatial-puzzle element rather than reducing everything to reflex-based platforming. The control scheme is intentionally uncomplicated, making the fundamentals easy to understand. The difficulty comes from mastering those fundamentals rather than memorizing a large selection of abilities. Because bouncing is central to movement, precision can occasionally become an issue. Successful sequences are satisfying when the ball lands exactly where intended, especially after several failed attempts. At the same time, repeated mistakes can become frustrating when the solution to a puzzle is obvious but executing the necessary movement proves troublesome. Players who enjoy retrying difficult sections are likely to tolerate this more readily than those who expect highly precise traditional platforming controls. Its puzzle design works best when navigation and environmental observation come together. Collecting every coin means that players cannot simply discover the quickest route to the exit and ignore the rest of a stage. Each important section must be explored, encouraging players to understand the complete layout. This also creates opportunities for route planning, since reaching a difficult collectible can leave the ball in an inconvenient position afterward. Thinking about where a movement will end is therefore just as important as reaching the immediate destination. Visually, the game favors an abstract and minimalist style. Glowing objects stand out against relatively simple three-dimensional environments, giving the protagonist an easily recognizable appearance while keeping platforms readable. It does not attempt to overwhelm the player with elaborate scenery or realistic graphical detail. Instead, lighting, geometric structures, and contrasting surfaces establish the atmosphere. The simplicity helps keep the puzzles visually understandable, although it can also make some areas feel sparse and lacking in environmental variety. The soundtrack follows a similarly restrained direction and contributes to the atmospheric character of the experience. This is appropriate for gameplay involving concentration, repeated attempts, and observation. The combination of glowing visuals and subdued audio creates a somewhat unusual mood that contrasts nicely with the comedic premise. There is something amusing about treating the aspirations of a bouncing luminous sphere with enough seriousness to turn its journey into an entire puzzle adventure. The story itself should not be considered a major attraction. The protagonist's desire to become a billiard ball is primarily a humorous framing device rather than the foundation for an elaborate narrative. There are no expectations of deep characterization or extensive storytelling here. Instead, the quirky concept distinguishes the game from completely anonymous physics puzzles and gives players a small sense of purpose beyond simply clearing one stage after another. Repetition is the most significant limitation. Since the experience revolves heavily around collecting coins, navigating platforms, and dealing with bouncing movement, players need to enjoy the central mechanic for the game to maintain its appeal. There is not an enormous range of systems layered on top of that foundation. The minimalism can be refreshing for someone looking for a straightforward puzzle game, but players seeking extensive progression, mechanical complexity, or substantial content variety may find the design too narrow. Steam Deck compatibility does not have an official Valve compatibility rating confirming the game as Verified or Playable. It should therefore be treated as having unknown or unverified Steam Deck compatibility. While its relatively straightforward design may appear suitable for portable play, that should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every aspect will function properly on the handheld without configuration or compatibility issues. Overall, Glow Ball - Not A Billiard Puzzle Game is an unusual little puzzle-platformer whose appeal comes from turning a bouncing ball into the centerpiece of spatial navigation challenges. Its simple rules, quirky premise, atmospheric presentation, and mixture of logical planning with movement-based execution give it a recognizable identity. Limited variety and potentially frustrating physics keep it from becoming an especially substantial puzzle experience, but players who appreciate modest indie experiments and trial-and-error platforming can still find satisfaction in overcoming its stages. It is best approached as a focused curiosity built around one unusual idea rather than a sprawling puzzle adventure. Rating: 5/10
