Excellent game: touching story, Tim Burton quality visuals, nice music, quality voice acted narration, challenging puzzles and lovable characters. Highly recommended!
Quick little puzzle game. I finished in 4 hours. 14 diorama like levels. Each of the characters had different abilities to manipulate and move through the level. I need to go back and get some of the collectables I missed. I saw where some of the collectables were but ended up at the end of the level instead. Macabre but cute character designs. My main complaint was the music. There was only one track that played on repeat throughout. I got stuck in the level geometry a few times. Restarting the level fixed getting stuck, but the check points were sometimes far back. At one point I lost the firefly lantern. I had to restart to get it to reset back into the level. I recommend the game for it's dark and gloomy atmosphere. I

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I would rec the game but I wouldn't say, given how short it is, that it was worth even the sale price I got it for. *$20* I finished it within 3.5 hrs, and that was with being AFK during some time to cook and take my dog out. Nice Tim Burton look and it was a pretty good story. But, it's so short, if its lower than $20 get it, if not I would just wait.
I love this game. I bought it because I like creepy vibes in games and this did not disappoint. I love the puzzles, animation, graphics, and story.
Gloomy Eyes, developed by Atlas V, Be Revolution Gaming, 3Dar, Fishing Cactus, and ARTE France, and published by ARTE France together with Untold Tales, feels less like a traditional video game and more like stepping into a moving piece of dark fantasy art. It carries the DNA of its origins as a narrative-driven VR experience, and that influence is immediately apparent in how carefully every scene, movement, and interaction is staged. Rather than emphasizing challenge or mechanical depth, the game focuses on delivering a tightly crafted, emotionally resonant journey that blends storytelling, light puzzles, and striking visual design into a cohesive whole. The story unfolds in a world swallowed by endless night, where the sun has disappeared and society has fractured along the line between the living and the undead. At the center of this world are two characters who should never have met: Gloomy, a kind-hearted zombie boy, and Nena, a brave human girl. Their relationship forms the emotional backbone of the experience, gradually developing as they navigate a hostile environment that rejects their bond. The narrative leans into a fairy-tale tone, with a quiet melancholy that never fully gives way to despair. It is simple in structure but effective in execution, relying more on mood and symbolism than on complex plot twists. Gameplay is built around a dual-character system that asks players to control both Gloomy and Nena, often switching between them to solve environmental puzzles. Each character interacts with the world in different ways, requiring a degree of coordination and planning to progress. While the puzzles rarely become overly demanding, they are thoughtfully designed to complement the pacing of the story. The game is less interested in testing the player’s problem-solving limits and more focused on maintaining a steady rhythm that supports immersion. This approach keeps the experience accessible but may leave those seeking deeper or more intricate challenges wanting more. One of the most distinctive aspects of Gloomy Eyes is how it presents its world. Levels are constructed like miniature dioramas, allowing players to rotate and examine environments from multiple angles. This perspective is not just a visual flourish—it plays a functional role in navigation and puzzle-solving, encouraging players to think spatially and engage with the environment in a more tactile way. It creates the feeling of interacting with a handcrafted model, reinforcing the sense that you are observing and guiding a story rather than fully inhabiting it. Visually, the game is consistently impressive. Its art direction draws heavily from gothic and stop-motion-inspired aesthetics, with exaggerated character designs, moody lighting, and environments that feel both eerie and whimsical. There is a strong sense of cohesion in how everything is presented, from the architecture of the world to the subtle animations that bring it to life. The sound design complements this perfectly, with understated music and narration that enhance the emotional tone without becoming intrusive. Together, these elements create an atmosphere that is both haunting and oddly comforting. Despite its strengths, the game’s focus on presentation does come with trade-offs. The relatively short runtime means that the experience can feel fleeting, especially for players who become invested in its world and characters. The simplicity of its mechanics, while intentional, may also limit its replay value, as there is little variation in how puzzles can be approached. Occasionally, the camera perspective or environmental readability can introduce minor moments of confusion, though these issues are generally brief and do not significantly disrupt the overall experience. What ultimately defines Gloomy Eyes is its clarity of vision. It does not attempt to compete with larger, more complex titles; instead, it commits fully to being a stylized, narrative-driven experience that prioritizes mood and artistic expression. It’s a game that asks to be appreciated rather than mastered, offering a journey that is as much about feeling as it is about interaction. In the end, Gloomy Eyes stands out as a beautifully realized piece of interactive storytelling. It may not satisfy players looking for depth in mechanics or extended gameplay, but for those drawn to atmospheric worlds, emotionally grounded narratives, and distinctive visual design, it delivers a memorable and carefully crafted experience that lingers long after it ends.
