Genius Calculator

Genius Calculator is a ittle fine game with 104 mathematical puzzles (with achivements for the first 100). Most of them are quite simple, a few quite frustrating. There are no instructions, except for showing a simple example every time a new concept is introduced. Two concepts that may not be clear for all are: "/" and "%" (the first is actually a "%" lying down). Those are known from programming languages as "div" and "mod". "Div" (short for division) returns the integer part (the whole part) of the division, while "mod" (short for modulus) returns the remainder part of the division. Examples: 5 div 3 = 1 and 5 mod 3 = 2. The game works and is fun if you like math. All graduates from primary school should be able to complete the game. The graphic is fine, the music is the same melody repeating infinitely and cannot be turned off. I lacked an overview of all the puzzles. It was there the first time, and then I could never find it again. Every time you start the game, you continue from where you left the last time. The game takes a couple of hours to complete. Buy it at sale. I got it for 0,39€. I rate it a 6/10 (it could be better, but works OK, and the puzzles are OK too)

This was a fun little puzzle game, though I doubt it will appeal to anyone that has difficulties with math. The game could do a better job of explaining what some operators do, but it was fun figuring them out. Word of warning: this is an integer calculator game. 5 / 3 = 1, not 1.667. The remainder is always omitted, i.e. always round down. Worth every penny if you like math.

Genius Calculator je hra, ve které si procvičíte Vaše matematické schopnosti. V každém levelu máte určené číslo, a také číslo, které má vzniknout, a Vy se za pomocí matematických operací , kterých tu je hodně, musíte dopočítat na dané číslo. Je tu 104 levelů a za každý desátý máte 1 achievement. Doporučji.

this game is dumb af. u lose brain cells by playing this game. The math is fcked up. First of all 5 divided by 2 is 2.5 but this game wants to tound it up but they round it up to 2 when 2.5 rounded up is 3. stupid game. and the % sht is dumb because apparently 10% of 20 is 0 like wtf?????????

I do not recommend this game if you enjoy solving math as it is intended. If you enjoy solving how a computer calculates wrong, then this might be a game for you, althought i still dont recommend anyone to play this. Just simply you shouldnt have a calculation game where the math isnt correct. % and / are going to give you 'wrong' answers if the answer isnt a whole number. If the point of the game were to figure out HOW the math is not correct or HOW the game will calculate something (answer is not what anyone would come up with using the same math "In Real Life" as the game), then it really needs to be pointed out either in description or just a small note in game.. Anything really that will let you know that correct math is not going to be used here. 5 /2 gets rounded down to 2 (is 2,5) hm okey sure i guess.. 3% of 10 gets rounded to 1 (is 0,3) hmmmmm okey something is off here 2% of 5 gets rounded to 1 (is 0,1) okey what the duck is going on here? 10% of 2 doesnt happen anything with (is 0,2) ... 10% of 242 gets rounded to 2 (is 24,2) --- 10% of 69 gets rounded to 9 (is 6,9) The list can be made miles long. This just made me sad, cause i thought that i would have to use math to solve problems. Now it more just become a game of pressing buttons to see what the game would give as an answer and then hopefully get a right answer or get a number that you could be working with. If I cant even trust the math then how am i ever going to be able to play a calculating game and feel happy about it? And you cant turn of the music in game, the button that controlles the audio is either "on or off" but the audio doesnt stop no matter what it stands on.. :)))))))))
