Garden Guardian supports the Plant-for-the-Planet organization.
Climate change affects us all, and individual change is not the solution. For every sale of Garden Guardian, we will donate $0.20 CAD to the Plant-for-the-Planet organization. Although Garden Guardian is a small game, we hope that over time we can help to plant thousands of trees through this initiative, and we hope we can encourage other game developers and publishers to consider joining in to pledge financial support to vital environmental, social, and communal efforts.

Out front of the long winded stuff, this game is really fun, and thats the gist of the review! The art style is fun, the music is nice and stays nicely in the background without grating, and the gameplay is simple. Ive been grinding Darktide a lot recently, and this game was a great palate cleanser. Growing up I was playing N64 and anything I could get to run on a Win98 desktop until midway through the life cycle of the PS3, so needless to say, this game feels like something I would have played as a kid, and between the game and the nostalgia, I find myself smiling while playing, and I think thats key. Not every game needs to be a high octane, top graphics action spectacle, or have lewd or edgy content flying around all the time, and I think Garden Guardian really shows that. PERSONAL ASIDE I first saw Liam as part of Super Best Friends Play, and he struck me as a really nice and genuine guy. I kept up with his internet stuff for a while, but he had less of a presence after taking his leave from the whole youtube thing (which I certainly cant blame him for.). I remember after coming back from Basic Military Training (early 2015), I sent tweets to the various components of the SBFP team to say thanks, as I had actually thought a lot on their jokes and content while in basic, and it gave me something to look forward to when I got internet access again. Out of everyone, Liam actually replied, and thanked me for serving. He didn't have to do that. In fact he didn't have to say anything, Im sure he got all kinds of stuff like that from various fans. But he went out of his way to do it, and it really meant a lot. It cemented in my mind that Liam was just a normal, nice dude, and I respect that a lot. I happened to decide to check in on Liam and the rest yesterday evening, and saw that Liam had a game out on Steam, so in support of a generally swell guy, I picked it up this morning. Im glad I did! I hope this is making you happy, sir. You deserve it, and it is obvious you put a lot of work into this. Thanks for everything, Mr. Allen-Miller. I hope you have a ton of luck in your future projects, you'll have my support!
Cheap as a box of hot chips on a rainy day and about ten times as fun. Fantastic little trials mode to occupy your time and some beautiful unlockable art makes progress fulfilling and worthwhile. Great music that does the opposite of grate on the ears so going back for more is really easy. 10/10. A lovely little game to keep in your back pocket for a bad day. (Figuratively speaking of course)
This hits all the sweet spots of the old Game and Watch games, but with modern UI and fantastic extras. 4 bucks is a steal for such a quality game and should definitely be picked up if you want an arcadey game to just pick up and play
I'm definitely biased cause a friend made this, but it's a real fun little game and he's a cool dude who put a lot of work into it, you should support him!
I enjoyed playing this game. it may look like another generic unity trash mobile game but this is one of the gems in the rough. has a lot of depth in its simple game mechanics and the difficulty is just right on the harder side.
Simply some good fun! I spent 20 minutes trying to achieve the Perfect Picker challenge and felt so satisfied when I finally beat it. Excellent work here and congratulations to the whole team for a job well done !
A great tribute to the LCD games of yore. Neat locales with lots of soothing earthy tones, you rarely see steppes(?) in games i feel. And that singular gameplay track is bumpin' and just enhances the already warm summer vibes. The mc, Snippy, shows a surprising amount of personality with so little: Her swaying and stumbling when shifting around the garden is snappy and determined while also occasionally showing her goofy side. She's got a cute cheery voice that straddles the line of being obnoxious. The game is exhilarating! Towards the tail end it might become a bit too frantic though, and it does. A few more trials would probably have resulted in making the game feel more worth and lessened the relatively steep difficulty curve, however for the price of admission, this is fantastic!
A fun game that reminds me of the flash games I used to play on Newgrounds. I really enjoyed the movement tech that was included; it made the game more interesting.
I found this game to be very easy to grasp, and a breeze to start playing! There are many challenges that were added to make the thing so much more addicting to play, and test skills. Hoping for more like it someday!
Short, but with lots of love and care. Well worth your time and money!
