its a good game for a 1.50
It has about as much content other abandoned AVNs, and probably worth getting in a discounted sale, if abandoned truncated content is something you can enjoy. The broken english was offset by the humor in my opinion - reminiscent of eroge manga with a digital daoist cultivation theme. So the novelty and the price is why I'm mildly recommending an otherwise partial and abandoned game.
Abandoned
Game Of Evolution – Season 1, developed and published by D7Games, is a narrative-focused indie title that blends mystery, romance, and mature themes within a choice-driven framework. Structured as the first chapter in a planned episodic series, the game centers on a college-aged protagonist who becomes entangled in a strange and evolving scenario that challenges both personal relationships and broader questions about power, influence, and transformation. Rather than presenting itself as an action-heavy or mechanically complex experience, the game leans heavily into storytelling and character interaction as its primary driving forces. The core gameplay revolves around dialogue choices and narrative progression. Players navigate conversations, select responses, and influence how relationships develop with a cast of characters who each possess distinct personalities and motivations. The branching dialogue system allows for subtle shifts in tone and outcome, though the overall structure remains relatively linear compared to more complex branching narrative games. Still, the decisions you make can shape how certain scenes unfold and how characters respond to you, encouraging replayability for those curious about alternative paths. Season 1 places considerable emphasis on interpersonal drama and romance, with mature content forming a significant part of the experience. The adult themes are integrated directly into the narrative progression rather than being treated as optional side content. Character arcs often revolve around emotional vulnerability, attraction, jealousy, and shifting alliances, and these dynamics are reflected in both dialogue and illustrated scenes. The tone alternates between suspenseful intrigue—hinting at larger forces at work—and intimate, character-driven moments that explore connection and desire. Visually, the game adopts a stylized aesthetic reminiscent of anime-inspired visual novels. Character portraits are expressive, and scene compositions aim to reinforce emotional beats during pivotal interactions. Background environments, while modest in detail, effectively frame the narrative setting and support immersion. The presentation does not attempt to compete with high-budget visual novels in terms of animation or graphical sophistication, but it provides enough visual clarity to support the storytelling focus. The artwork’s primary purpose is to enhance mood and character engagement rather than deliver technical spectacle. Mechanically, the game remains simple. There are no intricate combat systems, puzzles, or resource management mechanics. Interaction is primarily confined to advancing dialogue, making choices, and viewing event scenes. This simplicity makes the game accessible to players who prefer story consumption without complex gameplay barriers. However, it also means that players seeking dynamic systems or strategic challenges may find the experience limited. The pacing occasionally reflects this, with extended stretches of dialogue that emphasize narrative development over gameplay variation. As an Early Access title, Season 1 reflects a work-in-progress structure, with updates aimed at refining presentation and expanding content. Additional scenes and minor quality-of-life adjustments have been introduced over time, suggesting ongoing developer support. The episodic model implies that the story will continue to evolve in future seasons, potentially expanding both narrative scope and gameplay elements. For players invested in the overarching premise, this serialized format provides anticipation for subsequent installments. Ultimately, Game Of Evolution – Season 1 functions best as a character-driven visual narrative designed for a specific audience interested in adult-themed storytelling. Its strengths lie in its focus on relationship development, dialogue-driven progression, and atmospheric intrigue. While it does not offer deep gameplay mechanics or large-scale interactivity, it succeeds within its niche by delivering a story-centric experience that prioritizes emotional engagement over complexity. For players who appreciate choice-based narratives with mature themes and evolving character arcs, it offers a foundation that hints at larger developments in future chapters. Rating: 6/10
