About
GAME (not) OVER is a small survivors-like with deck-building elements, blending both genres to offer a fresh game.
Lost in the world of video games, use your cards to summon hero allies, and defend yourself from the hordes of villains who want to claim their revenge on you!
Your character is no hero… but their video game allies are!
Position cleverly your allies around you and watch them blast away the hordes of incoming enemies.
In classic "bullet-heaven" fashion, you’ll face hordes of increasingly strong enemies. But your allies will get stronger too!
GAME (not) OVER is also a deck-building game! Each turn, lasting about 30 seconds, you draw five cards, and you’ll need to use wisely the energy you have to summon allies to protect you! Including…
The peasant, defending himself with his pitchfork!
The wizard, commanding thunder!
The witch, throwing powerful fireballs!
The ninja, attacking enemies with his shuriken!
The cyborg, slashing with their energy swords!
The fury, summoning powerful tornadoes!
The space admiral, summoning beams from above!
The knight, blasting enemies away with his sword of light!
The ice queen, freezing enemies in their tracks!
And more!
But remember, your enemies can kill your allies too… and if they do, you’ll lose their firepower!
Defeat your enemies to gain experience, and use that experience to pick up new cards that will allow you to summon new allies when you play them!
Play these cards again with your allies in the field to level them up, making them more powerful!
Take your time strategizing, choose which allies will protect you the best… Then blast away your enemies with their powerful abilities!
A run in this rogue-like lasts about 20 minutes. Will you survive, in the world of video games?

Fun first game for The Croissant Crusaders. A combination of two well-known gameplays done right (deck-building+survivor). Relatively short if you just want to beat all bosses, but as usual with these kinds of games, it's the highscores that counts. Would still need some more polish on the edges, but can't blame a solo-project for not having the best finishing of them all. All in all, I won't deny myself: I'm having fun with it. ^^
Fun little game that despite beating me up pretty nicely, made me want to get back up again and get good! Interesting synergies (don't sleep on the peasant), cool twist on the survivor-like genre (positioning is hard), smooth and fair gameplay (made me want to retry time and time again), and the music sounds cool + loops very well without getting annoying (thank goodness). Give it a spin, it's fun!
Survivre like très sympa. Le twist du défi de carte apporte un vrai plus qui change vraiment la dynamique
A Vampire Survivors game mixed with a deck builder— and it works brilliantly! Original and refreshing, the game offers a solid challenge with that addictive 'just one more run' feel.
This game is really addictive. The run are also quite shorts so it is easy to come back to it for one or two runs. I also finally managed to get all achievements, which really pushed me to try a variety of builds to surprisingly good results when my first impression was that a couple cards or builds would really stand above the rest, but my best scores ended up coming from unexpected cards which was a nice surprise. I would definitly recommand giving it a try.
Cool survivor game mixed up with deck building.
This is a great game. It's much more addicting that you expect going in. The game is well balanced, and the Heroes are fun to work with. (the rotation element to try and manage hit points is very nice!) Most importantly, it's just a fun story that make the game easy to pick up and play.
A trully fun game that doesn't take itself too seriously A good twist on survivors game with the deck building and rotation mecanics I found myself trying different cards and builds, there is a lot of re-playability Worth the price, would definitely recommend
