[b]异世界的无厘头生活[/b] is a rather interesting little visual novel that kind of has a mystique about it. Not your usual everyday kind of VN, and not overly long. It is about death and then randomly meeting women to use your “meat stick” on. Anyway, yes, it does have a decent level of lewd factor, and the art is nicely done. The english translation was a bold attempt by the creators, and while it’s very rough around the edges, I just recently sent something over for a possibly better arrangement. So, by the time you read this, it may have sharpened the english portion quite a bit!
Like I said about the mystique, it’s really weird and out there. None of the events really connect, aside from you being in them, and the whole thing’s a weird mess of strangeness. Think… Fear & Loathing in a Las Vegas Cat House, and you’ll be close to the mark here. It’s all about encounters with women, and a chance some “fat man” gives you for some weird kind of redemption. Up to you to figure out what all this means. Most choices end your game, but it’s rather short, and there’s a screen to go back to where you got to, which ends up again leading to the eventual choice. You have to pick one of four and the right one(s) move forwards in the oddity I’d call a story I suppose.

I really dig the artwork in this game. Renderings are really sublime. I’ve seen much worse, and some better, but this one caught my eye. Very good art, and neat ways of setting up costumes, setting, and other things to make it all sorta “work” in a twisted sort of way.
While simple pass/fail choices are in the mix, it’s still nice to be presented with opportunities to lose or move onwards. I enjoyed it, though it doesn’t have much impact on overall game flow aside from having to restart from that girl if you happened to answer a question in the wrong way.
They attempted to do english after the fact, which was really cool of them. Most games kind of get stuck in their ways, and them taking that extra risk and going for something requested on their steam forum was kind of nice to see. I wish more would step outside their comfort zone. I was happy to help with translation, and I hope it gives the experience a bit more fluidity and continuity without going off the mark or pacing of the story too much. I did a small bit of improvisation, but it’s close to the original, as far as I could interpret, out of respect to the team that created it.
Pretty original I guess, but it is very obscure and vague as well. This could be a good or bad thing for some. I’m sticking it in pros because I liked the random nature of the plot, or kind of lack of… for lack of a better term.
Can’t beat the price, though it’s pretty short. There is a free dlc, but I think the overall space of this game was really huge for the length! A little over 6 gigs!

I’m not sure why this thing was 6 gigs when it’s not very long. Seems rather large, so I don’t really know what to say here. I don’t do these kinds of projects, but it does seem very large for the amount of content!
The only achievement is either bugged, or I somehow missed it. I finished the game, but I didn’t get this. Maybe it’s just something game-wise that I did not do, or did incorrectly.
I’d be happy if it were a bit longer, but for the amount of wording and the art, I think the price is fairly reasonable and balanced overall.
Right now, the english is rough. I hope the touch-ups help the english part, once it is revised! Good on them for trying to create something to work off of, at any rate!
If you are looking for a deep story, it’s really not here. This is quite an odd game. I’m still not sure what to make of it. Very quirky and nonsensical in some roundabout way. I can’t properly explain it.

For the asking price, I feel like this is worth it even at the base amount. Sure, it’s really weird, seems kind of pointless, and has odd scenarios, but the art is what makes me enjoy the game enough to say that the price is good where it is, even without a sale. With a discount, even better.
Suggested for those who like hentai, or lewd stuff, and don’t mind a small bit of reading and random choices. It’s rough around the edges, disjointed, and not for everybody, but I recommend it for collectors of visually appealing works. You are going to be using your “meat stick” a lot in this over your encounters. It is odd, but it’s a great price and features some art that is really easy on the eyes. I like that about it, and that part alone is worth the amount at base price. It’s worth a try!
